the qualification arguement makes no sense for lock in because every single team was invited, and if you really want to get picky, the chinese teams technically qualified, its less than lock in but by a lil

geng - solo already said they are just going to try things out in ewc
edg - schedule legit cooks them, probably not too serious
100t are first to make it out their group, they are going to try their hardest as its their only chance at a trophy
the schedule hurts the asian teams (champs qualifying stage vs off season event), the qualifiers hurt the 3rd seed from regions as they had to prepare for both toronto and ewc (different patches), the qualifier was online in the big 2025, some teams didnt even have the full roster (traded in a "major" qualifier)
