No I actually would be happy! Well, depending on the other team in Grands. If it’s NA vs SA in champs grands, obviously I’m cheering for NA, but SA vs EU, SA vs APAC, etc I’m cheering for SA.
Besides, the point of the America alliance thingy was that a team from Americas winning gives our region another slot…
Rivalry can still be there when we play each other, the whole point is that everyone in Americas benefits if someone from our region wins a tournament.

+2nd coach, +analyst is a requirement. The biggest thing hurting the team is the fact that it’s just mikes - no help for him and stellar. (Is Thwifo just a sub or is he helping them? I don’t know.)

Thats why i basically put him and Stellar as interchangeable - BUT, i feel that the reason Vanity has fallen off is the lack of great coaching ever since C9 traded Autumn. Sure he did have Mce but that was for two matches in lockin (after which he was dropped)
i basically just think vanity + strong coach = strong vanity, so since 100T needs a second strong coach anyway, it might work out with Vanity.
Really not sure though. Since vanity IS kind of a question mark in terms of performance due to the recent games, i think Flyuh is probably a better option (BUT harder to get since hes signed and vanity isnt)
you know what i just found out also? Verno is 17 (and AFAIK too young for franchising but thats just what someone said)
i hope that he IS eligible for franchising but idk.

But i think the more M80 players, the less likely of a chance it is to get any. I think 100T could maybe get one but probs not two, so i can totally see EITHER johnqt or eeiu.
Valyn+trent ofc could work but my worries with that is the conflicting roles between Valyn and Bang. Course, valyn could secretly be a goated flex and i just dont know that. Who knows! all speculation.

I agree with a lot of what you said here. I think the largest, core issue is a simply understaffed coaching team.
like, you have mikes. thats it. If i remember right, mikes and sgares both specialized in one of attack/defense - so i feel like current 100T coaching is only half of what it needs to be, you know?

It def looks that way right now, i just kinda hope he still has that dawg in him somewhere.
He WAS a pretty damn good IGL, and hes certainly not lacking in mechanics, so... it just seemed right as a choice.
I personally am going to chalk vanity's falloff to a coach diff, since when he was prominent, he had a good coach, and teams hes played on since c9 lost Autumn and Xeta kind of lost that coach strength - last time he had a very strong coach was Lock//In - where vanity played two matches and was promptly kicked from C9 along with yay.
So since 100T needs a second, strong coach anyway, i thought Vanity could perform there - if my thought process that "vanity + strong coach = strong vanity" is true.
i fucking hate the second place curse.

I mean, no, derrek isnt "that bad" - great player, IMO. But he's underperforming, especially recently, and there are simply better options.
man, so many players on 100T have some of the best aim in the world at their peak.
Imagine a 100T with a peak performance Asuna, Bang, and Cryo, with a well oiled Trent and then kingg or vanity (both frag-capable IGLs)

What i was trying to say is that, the reason for TL's struggle to win against EDG is not ONLY because EDG is in good form, but ALSO because TL is currently in poor form.
I know TL can play better than they did in that match versus EDG - so thats why i said theyre in poor form. Theyre a fantastic team, and i feel that if TL was in their normal (or even good form) then the match would have been much more in TL's favor.

Explanation:
1) Derrek, although we know he can be great, has been consistently underperforming this season. I love his personality, the character he brings to the team, and I would LOVE if he could be great like i know he can be, but unfortunately, it doesnt seem to be that way. No disrespect to Derrek, truly, but he just isn't cutting it right now.
Stellar TLDR? Stellar is a mystery block, he's gonna be fantastic or hes gonna be bad - at least right now. Getting a second coach, like when they had Sgares, will likely help him tremendously (and could justify not removing him)... but who knows. Not me. Remove him or dont. I think either could work.

2) Stellar is debatable because what we've seen is a very mixed bag, under different conditions. We have seen him frag very well, we have seen him frag very poorly. We have seen him IGL very well, we have seen him get read like a book. We have seen a bunch of different forms of Stellar. Stellar can be good, he can also be bad. Mixed bag. Under sgares head coaching, he appeared to be just right, what the team needed, and he did his job well. They qualled to Champions, after all. But after sgares departure, it has been, like i said, mixed. At Redbull, he played phenomenally. And that wasnt an isolated event, he has certainly had his games after that. But recently hes also played very poorly. Same thing goes for (what I percieve to be) his IGLing (since i cannot TRULY judge it.) There have been great IGL games, there have been bad IGL games. I feel that Stellar, given another coach (like how when they had sgares AND mikes), could potentially be good enough (in igling, mostly) to justify not dropping him.

+Verno i feel is the most likely, if Derrek were to be released. Incredible player, and his team didn't make ascension, and he plays all the right agents
(tiny chance) if M80 do not win Ascension - eeiu (the reason for eeiu is obvious)
(tiny but slightly larger chance) if TGRD do not win Ascension - trent (the reason for trent is obvious, but hes more likely as a pickup than eeiu due to TGRDs financial instability)

That doesnt mean EDG can't lose to Liquid's poor form, thats just how good Liquid can be.
If EDG, even at their current strong form, played Liquid, at a normal or good form, the match would be much more comfortably in Liquids favor.
TL beat EDG because theyre simply a better team IMO. I'm saying EDG is in good form because theyre playing amazingly, better than past performances.
I'm saying TL is in poor form because theyre struggling to beat EDG, a team who, if Liquid were in normal, or good form, Liquid could beat comfortably - even if EDG is in their current, great form.
EDG is not in good form because they made the match against Liquid close, theyre in good form because they are performing above past perfomances and doing very well, AKA good form.
TL is in poor form because theyre struggling to beat a team that they would comfortably win against, were TL in a normal or good form.
TL is EMEA first seed. They beat FNC. They have the capability to win that match versus EDG quick.

EDG is in good form, yes. That doesnt mean TL is not in bad form.
Its a worryingly large majority of teams that are underperforming, thats the issue.
Especially considering the underperforming teams are some of the best, who are, well, usually very very consistently good.
DRX only not made it out of groups once, consistently good but not too up there--> DRX barely make it out of groups and exit playoffs early
LOUD, the previous champs, and the team who almost NEVER loses (and when they do, they usually put up a hell of a fight) --> Exit playoffs 0-2, demolished
NRG, one of the better teams in the world at their normal, good performance --> struggling to beat T1, DRX

Thats true. I think a good coach would speed up the move from CS igling to val igling really quick.
Also, i totally agree with most of what you said, but i do still think its a good idea to give him time to re-adapt to the game (mechanically, gamesense wise, and IGLing wise) before he gets signed to any T1 team.
