note to orgs:
please for the love of god do trials and scrims where your coach and manager pays attention to the player's attitude and has an informed background on players.
also make sure they do the scouting and research on that. if they don't want to / can't, please don't put them in that position.
I've seen so many teams add star players, players that don't fit in role wise, players that don't get along and they just don't care because "HURR DURR THEY WERE GOOD ON PREVIOUS TEAM, HURR DURR THEY ARE STAR PLAYER!"
it's like they literally don't understand how teams or the game functions. it's embarrassing. on top of this, when stuff goes wrong they just insta-kick and waste money, time, resources and most of all the player's time and mental. I don't know where/when this trend started but jesus christ. it feels like some teams are trying to brute-force wins and it's insanely stupid and costly.
thinking about it now, most likely the largest issue with ftm would be identifying a cisgender man vs trans-masculine and proving they are ftm rather than cisgender. but either way, it still sucks and it isn't inclusive nor in line with what GC is supposed to represent.
The thing that concerns me the most is that this is June 2023. This is after the 2021 and 2022 season. This is after the LANs with G2 Gozen winning. The scene was already set up and had the cogs running, so for them to make that rollback afterwards seems less likely, which is really disappointing.

his gekko was very good from what I saw. I get the team leaning away from double duelist as it really fell out of meta. I don't see any issues.

there are better argentine rosters they could've picked up, some players on that team are worth building around but it's looking like a pretty dire pickup.

even if they don't, most esports players honestly just go back to college. it's why there's been a larger push for some players to compete during or only after getting their degree.
