Ofc yay would go back to jett. The only reason why you think it looks bad was cause both dsg and bleed sucked in general. Yay is a player like demon1 or Cryocells, you have to set them up for them to get value. In 2022 optics whole game plan was setting up Yay. On Jett maps, Yay would play Jett and on Senti maps Victor would play raze and FNS would play initiator (like he did in 2022) or viper.
I think both his trophies have really obvious holes in them.
He won the first ever masters in iceland and got mvp with the highest acs ever but no one really knew how to play the game yet. That SEN roster mainly relied on their experiance from other first person shooters to pull ahead of the pack. I dont think its a coincidence that as the year went on and people started understanding the game, SEN's results dwindled past this trophy.
He won his second ever masters in madrid playing very well on omen/flex but there is no way an 8 team tournament is anywhere close to being comprable to other masters events. The qualification process for madrid was really scuffed as well, with a single elem playoff format where u only need to win one match to get in the event. TenZ himself wasn't the star on this roster, it was zekken.
No goat of any sport has a two year long stint where they are repeatedly under performing and putting up terrible stats. Even back in 2021 you could argue for Cned or Nats being the mvp of that year in a way you couldnt with yay in 2022 or demon1 in 2023. This current iteration of TenZ isn't the best contoller player in world, thats karon, nor the best flex in the world, thats chronicle.
Winning anything at all in esports is hard and we should commend TenZ for what he has accomplished. He will be remembered as a great player, just not the greatest.
I think its a lot more nuanced than you make it out to be. We have seen plenty of teams suceed without all 5 players being fraggers. I think the most obvious example is Optic back in 2022 where you saw both Victor and FNS often at the bottom of the leaderboard but they were still one of the most dominant teams we have seen so far in Valorant.
I think the simple fact of the matter is there are far more ways to contribute to a team in Valorant than there is in something like Counter Strike where all 5 players, IGL included need to be fragging out. You say that there is far more talent out there that can frag + put out util but all the players you have mentioned have proven why they deserve to be at a tier 1 level. C0M was EG's clutch player, Sacy was pretty much mvp level back in champs 2022 etc. On the topic of Sacy, he is having a steller tournament so far. I think if you let the others cook, they will show the same level of productivity they had in the past
