Never said Navi was worse than M3C did I? I only said that they deserved playoffs

posted about a year ago

Navi deserved to qualify from groups. All their games have been super close, always winning 2-1 or losing 1-2. People are heavily sleeping on them, I’m not surprised that they’re having this performance against Guild

Easy for C9A

posted about a year ago

Yes exactly. Some people were confused on how BBL/NAVI were out, this thread is mainly an explanation for that

posted about a year ago

As fun as this sounds it’ll likely never happen in groups of 6, there’s too many criterias to decide :(

M3C qualify if BIG lose to BBL tomorrow.
BIG qualify if BIG beat BBL tomorrow.

posted about a year ago

Basically:

If GLD > NAVI and BBL > BIG - M3C qualify from h2h against BBL.

If GLD > NAVI and BIG > BBL - BIG qualify from h2h against M3C.

If NAVI > GLD and BBL > BIG - M3C qualify from h2h against NAVI and BBL, won against both.

If NAVI > GLD and BIG > BBL - BIG qualify from h2h map differential against M3C and NAVI (+1)

VCT EMEA Rulebook 2022

Tiebreakers
In the event that two or more Teams are tied in the standings at the conclusion of the Regular Season, the tie will be broken by the following criteria:

  1. Head-to-head match score
  2. Head-to-head map differential
  3. Head-to-head round differential
  4. Overall map differential
  5. Overall round differential
posted about a year ago

NAVI, BIG and M3C all have equal head-to-head score. 1-1 each. It is therefore decided with head to head map differential.

BIG +1 (2-0 M3C, 1-2 NAVI)
NAVI +-0 (2-1 BIG, 1-2 M3C)
M3C -1 (0-2 BIG, 2-1 NAVI)

If BIG > BBL, BIG qualify because they have the highest h2h map differential.
If BBL > BIG, M3C qualify. Even if NAVI > GLD happens, M3C still qualify from head to head against NAVI, 2-1.

A scenario where BBL is included in a threeway tie doesn’t affect the end results. They lose head to head against M3C, and in a threeway tie between BBL, NAVI and M3C, M3C qualify from head-to-head, as they beat both NAVI and BBL.

ty for coming to my ted talk

Yeah it happens. Just unlucky for GLD really, happens :)

They won’t be pulling out insane setups and strats for a game that doesn’t matter for them, group is already won. Though definitely feel like this map should’ve been won. Next is Breeze, Guild’s stage 1 paradise - hopefully the breeze blessing continues for this stage too

EG will win dw

Guild deserve a chance to show themselves internationally for once

posted about a year ago

It’s map differential between the tied teams, that’s already set to -1 for Navi

posted about a year ago

Navi are fully out. -1 in map diff

M3C loss + BIG win = BIG qualify
M3C loss + BIG loss = M3C qualify
M3C win = qualification

Just checked and Optic lost to EG tier 3 team.
Fluke iceland run. They got lucky that FPX and real fnatic weren't there.

Yes you're right, BIG would qualify over M3C with 2-3 alongside head-to-head

Psst Eutalyx, "Most playoff teams have now been determined, with just one slot open in Group A."

its group B

even heroes make mistakes

posted about a year ago

Are they gonna be seeded like last time? #1 seed from each group gets a round bye and will face either the #2 of the opposite group or the #3 of its own group (depending on results)?

posted about a year ago

Fnatic will go to masters as EMEA seed #1

posted about a year ago

If Liquid FF against M3C they get 3rd seed instead of 2nd. Guild is #1 no matter what but why even ff?
