Athan my GOAT future igl of DRX
DRX win 2:1
DRX are only using academy to give players without any experience a chance to gain some. Teams like FEARX and others who are more successful have players that have been playing for years. Most of the roster isn’t even old enough to play in VCT
bruh, i swear athan gets hate on for doing nothing, it’s his first year competing and he’s the IGL, if anything he’s the future for DRX not ZynX
what’s up with the athan hate, just a bad game from him
I think they should keep the same roster and just keep improving
he’s gonna stay, if DRX was looking for a diff IGL, they would’ve brought up athan instead of flicker
wouldn’t nAts senti and chron controller be much better
played 1 vct match on ini and did well. Sample size too small to judge
i believe, But i think they def need to put him on roles where he could frag out more and it’s okay to be more aggressive, similar to how they did at the start of stage 2 last year. It’s literally the perfect meta for chamber, sage, iso, double duelist etc
nah, 2024 champs was the highest ever, and the the masters this year had a lot too
I don’t think he will, this was supposed to be the roster b4 flashback had to leave in stage 1 so they deserve more time at least
am i the only one who’s very exited for next match.
I’m lowkey expecting some double duelist. They’ve had a lack of practice so next match is lowkey the first match they have with good enough prep.
ur acting as if 2 of those teams aren’t gonna go undefeated for the rest of the group stage
Well some of these have proper explanations, others don’t
i feel like having a performance at an international as good as derke in lock/in or even tokyo
and derke in all 2023 was clearly better than anything kaajak has shown so far
should i bring up stats or nah, cause i feel the stats alone paints a clear picture
i feel like DRX had much less time than NS regardless, like MaKo deadass said they started prepping Bind the day b4 the match vs NS so they were okay with losing on it
Mako- https://discord.gg/eQ2nRQKV
the rest you can find on X
MaKo
BeYN
free1ng + HYUNMIN
They all have their own individual servers, and they interact sometimes but usually after matches
i find it funny how some ppl think these teams can beat an out of form, still experimenting new roster DRX.
Take the Lotus comp for example
Raze
Omen
Viper
Vyse
fade
Estrella and free1ng both have the same amount of matches on fade, switching estrella to fade is not a big deal at all
MaKo-> Viper: a clear upgrade(much better viper than omen)(still good at both)
free1ng-> Vyse: has one match on vyse back in stage 1(on lotus btw) and he had 413 acs(another clear role upgrade)
Flashback-> Omen: very easy agent to learn, already played it is pro matches b4 and looked good on it. I seriously think DRX have a real flex player at their disposal but are just keeping him on senti.
I feel like he still has more left to show as an igl, ppl talk about how RRQ got better w/o him but i think it’s an unfair argument considering the meta just suited RRQ a lot at the time and the roles didn’t really line up well. I really think that all it takes is him become solid and more confident with calling for DRX, and they can start playing like contenders. Not to mention, nongshim aren’t some pushovers. Also DRX needs to lean into firepower more, i can't help but notice most of the teams that are/was successful ran some sort of double duelist. T1, PRX, Fnatic, TH(they kinda count)
this is exactly what i’ve been saying bruh, i swear this would work out the best.
about a year and a half now, but IGL’s need a proper amount of time to really get used to calling on a new team, that’s why teams rarely try to get new ones unless it’s the offseason.
i mean, i think it’s best they they do some role changes rather than a roster change.
Estrella-> Scan
free1ng-> Senti
Flashback-> Flex
nah let him cook bro, just needs some more time
they have also said multiple times that this lineup only started practicing together after EWC, so it’s just a really new team rn. Like think back to how we were struggling in early stage 2 last year then picked it up and nearly won the stage. I think that can happen again, this time the team has a much higher ceiling
As much as the team is kinda struggling rn, i think the best thing for the team rn is just keeping this same lineup and just keep on improving week by week
So in the recent interview, Glow said that the 5 players that played today didn’t have much time to practice together. I think it’s fair to just give this roster another chance, i’m not giving up on estrella just yet but i’m on the brink
They should’ve lowkey just brought back athan since he’s the IGL of DRX academy, and athan had similar stats to flicker
ngl i agree, today wasn’t even HYUNMUN’s fault at all
is that worth it tho, i feel like MaKo igl won’t work if free1ng is gonna continue to play like ass
I’m being so deadass rn, i’d rather him play senti and Flashback play sova is this is how he’s gonna be on initiators outside of tejo
he actually struggled on tejo a lot in stage 2. I dunno what happened
the big hope is the fact that BeYN is listed as a costreamer for stage 2 which could mean he won’t be playing. That gives hope that flashback will play right? no bc termi
Also looks like DRX are looking to play some double duelist which flicker hasn’t been looking that good at but you never know.
Because seriously, who in their right mind would choose flicker over flashback. Even flashback has shown to be good on flex agents even if it isn’t a big sample size.
Unfortunately, termi is not in his right mind so you could never know
funnily enough, there’s only about a 50% chance flashback even plays tomorrow
shanghai didn’t even have an mvp, but he’s mostly considered the best player on gen g during that tournament, but it was close with t3xture for sure
They took out our worst map and brought back our best, we are so back
