its similar to HLTV in how it awards points to placements and calculates achievements, and also awards points for Form, which is individual wins/losses over the past 3 months
since vlr.gg rankings are trash, i developed my own algorithm that ranks the teams

there arent enough high level matches between top teams
by the time top teams face each other, they are both already qualified and are trolling or not trying as hard, making it boring to watch
teams just roll bot teams in open qualifiers and play 1/2 intense games vs meh teams in challengers final then boom, its over
they should take the top 16 teams from open qualifier and do a group stage with 4 groups then bracket
