First Strike was the undisputed peak of NA valorant, you had 100T being the new super team, TSM as the flashy top 3 team, and SEN with sinatraa who i liked from OW. Also any one of the other tier one teams could beat these top three at any time. Now the old TSM is gone, sinatraa did weird shit, SEN got tenz which kinda ruined the parity of the NA scene, Dicey got benched and 100T still can’t win another tourney, Hiko kinda fell off, and now at twitch chat is full of toxic ppl with the maturity of an 8 year old. The NA scene today is not bad now obv, but it’s not as fun to watch imo.

true; NA VAL just got more and more saturated and unwatchable tbh. I don't even watch it anymore unless it's like a final/Cloud9 Blue are playing

The fact that Sentinels played into the villian role with people BMing like dapr, sinatraa, and zombs was really fun to watch during first strike. Now that they got TenZ, tenz is more of a family friendly person and didn't really play into the whole BMing thing they all did before during first strike and such. SEN are still fun to watch, but now people hate them because they beat their favorite teams, rather than because they are BM.

Did you completely miss when Dapr got death threats in Iceland because he went to knife someone? IMO nothing has really changed on Dapr side of this, though I can completely agree with your second part. Every other day it’s “ShahZ said this about so and so team”. The clip get taken out of context and more often than not was made weeks or even months prior.

This thread just sounds like a bunch of hipsters. Go back and see those threads, just seems like rose tinted glasses. It’s not as good as y’all remember, you had people saying EU only had one or two good teams (I really did go back and check, that thread made me laugh too don’t worry). We are having upsets every event almost with teams like Rise and KCP making it to Main Event. We had a bunch of strong teams in NA that can over take SEN at any moment. The KAY/O meta is right around the corner and it will be interesting how teams adapt.

Idk, i didnt mind first strike and it was fun. I think right now valorant is much more enjoyable. I really like the idea of a strong team that every one is working towards to beat and it make everything more competitive

Lol u got to move on and adjust to the new scene it cant be the same the whole time...i was a huge huge tsm fan and once they fell off it was really hard to become a 100T fan since they aren't any fun players like wardell and roza but now these 2 have fallen of...im stll a TSM fan for the next qual..win or loose...and hiko aint fallen of wat u on about...he is still insane in tourneys and he get 25k viewers and he knows how to handle his OWN chat ...so how tuff is it for ya

bro idk if it’s just a couple bad tourneys for hiko but he’s not fraggin out as much anymore and he sometimes has these boomer reaction time plays that make the chat go “hiko???”. He still has nice clutches and darts tho.

bro did you at all watch this tourney? IDK why people say hiko should be kicked on the basis of THIS tourney cause the entire team played good, just because they got eliminated doesnt mean they need a roster move or it was hiko because of whom they got eliminated.

Dude u dumb?they never got ELIMINATED the matches they lost made no difference...they had already qualified for challengers playoffs...
Even if they won chall 2 they would be 2nd in the leaderboards after SEN and they lost and still are second

LOL fair. That’s quitter talk. You think fans in CSGO after years of Astralis dominance say they wish it was more fair? I will say this even as a SEN fan. They will not be at the top of NA forever. The meta changes too frequently that the odds of a team being on top for years is unlikely. LOL we have had one LAN and you’re already saying this.

Games barely a year old, there are no old days….

What’s cringe is that you said you want things to be more fair (Also how often you call things cringe in your posts, it’s just childish, which explains the fair complaint as well). Don’t worry, if we all email Riot maybe SEN can start a map down from now on. In the interest of fairness right?

And yes I have a SEN flair, good to see you can associate shapes and colours to their meaning. Even though I openly said I was a fan in my post. Right next to where I said they won’t be at the top forever because that’s how the world works.

tbh it feels like the meta changes benefits sentinals instead of harming them tho.

Could be the case, a good IGL should be able to make this adjustments. Time will come though when a team gets the better of them, which will happen. The esports scene is so new, it’s why it makes me laugh when people talk about the good ol days. Like as a SEN fan I wish I had your guys confidence in them. NA is getting more and more competitive. We have teams like Cloud 9 coming up, teams like Rise and KCP surprisingly a lot of people and fighting for a chance to go to Berlin. Last Masters we had V1 make the unexpected run.

I just think people don’t understand how it is in most new esports. Are we forgetting NiP going 87-0 at the beginning of CSGO. SEN’s reign of terror if we are gonna call it that is short lived compared to most esports dynasties. And the thought of calling tournaments that weren’t even LAN’s the golden era of Valorant just seems incredibly short sighted, while also forgetting the issues we had at that time.

Idk, it was fun during that era because it wasn't Sentinels domination. TSM v Sentinels rivalry existed, upcoming teams like 100t and Envy were showing up. T1 recently picked up Dazed and became ibuypower 2.0 and GenG having a crazy duelist (at the time) with Shawn. It was more competitive I guess if that makes any sense because it wasn't a one sided victory.

IMO peak valorant was Flashpoint, tons of copy pastas in chat, good meta with good storylines and upsets, and it was run well.

Yeah, First strike was so fun and the teams were very balanced, you had to see the matches to find out who won and how. Now you already know SEN is gonna dominate so I don't even watch SEN's matches anymore.

Idk, I like to watch the games because the meta changes every time, new agents, new maps etc... i don't watch the SEN games only I wanna see how other teams approach the game, different plays, individuals popping off and stuff like that.
For the grand finals we all kinda know SEN gonna win but it was fun to watch with all the clutches and individual talent. But for know we have to wait till we can see how the teams gonna build Kay/O into their gameplay.

Its all about adaptability, Sentinels is not winning Berlin. Though they are the best, but there would be teams in Berlin studying them really well and outplaying them.
I wish nothing but good to them, but I am positive this Valorant scene will go on to be better.

While deep in my heart I want TSM time rise up to their past glory. :((

the games are just so boring

i don't want to watch the same 3 qualifiers, then every once a couple of months a couple of real games

and no it doesn't build storylines, it's just mundane qualifiers x3 and maybe you get some good matches in masters (or not, since it's heavily diluted by other regions as well)

I've always hated the idea of superteams, but I guess its inevitable in any competitive game that a team would want the best players possible. Sentinels is just too good of a team right now, so nobody else can compete. With them, and its basically a foregone conclusion that SEN is going to win and everyone else in NA is fighting for 2nd. I also want some type of rivalry or something, the game feels too nice and everyone likes each other. I'm not saying every needs to hate each other, I just want some type of conflict.
