Initially the plan was to increase the teams year by year all the way up to maximum 14 teams, but last year they capped it at 12 teams and made it so that Ascension teams can stay for more than 2 years if they make Champions at the end of the year (if they made Stage 2 playoffs then they could fight for their spot in that year's Ascension tournament, and if they miss Stage 2 playoffs then they'll be relegated back to Tier 2)

So ZOL, regardless of the last match between AE & OF (i think) should be locked in 3rd in Group B, qualifying for playoffs. However, since the two teams under ZOL in 4th & 5th are academy teams, and the 5th/6th placed teams in each group are put into relegation, it makes ZOL the next-worst team in the group, putting them into relegation instead of an academy team. What will happen here? Does ZOL play both playoffs and relegation ?? Or am I missing something @TMosura @RiotJaker @Daks @fl1pzjder @WyattRiver @BrenEsportsCEO
