The guard have released their players, riot can implement a new rule where to compete in the ascension tournement you have to register your players and coaches into the gcd, if you with the ascension slot but dont meet the IL agreement within a given time then your coaches and players contracts are null and voided and riot helps find a new org. There are transfer windows between the split and emergency transfer windows if an IL affiliate player gets called up to the main team
The winning organization has a 1 month window to register for ILs
If that organization fails to register in said period the contracts that org has with the coach and players are terminated.
There is then a 1 month window where riot works with the players to find a suitable org to replace the original
If no such org is found (this wont happen) the team will compete as free agents for the 1st year, with riot using stipends to cover the salaries and facilities of the players (paid minimum)
The team will then have a 2 month window after the end of champions to work with riot and find a suitable org
If no such org is found the team will compete as free agents for the 2nd and final year, with riot using stipends to cover the salaries and facilities of the players
