Maybe 6 man roster?

In vct they will have to play 4-5 Bo3s. If they can’t do 3 they are in trouble.

They are so shit. Will never win anything. Just disband the team.

Dude theyre insane. I hope they qual for groups.

posted about 4 years ago

Yes, they still have a core 3 team members

posted about 4 years ago

Ah yes a 2 week roster will beat a top 8 NA team. Seems realistic!

Chill they played vs t3 teams.

Only thing I’m on is reality.

We are at the point in valorant where just having exp in cs is not enough to be good at valorant. I don’t think anyone except Stewie and maybe Tim will be successful if they switch.

Honestly I had high hopes for this eg roster but it has been so disappointing.

It will be a legendary match brother!

Yea I remember. It was unfortunate timing.

Way better than I thought they would be. Overall a super balanced roster. Stellar surprised me with his individual fragging power. Also the chemistry seems to already be really good. Excited to see how they fair in vct quals.

posted about 4 years ago

Not top 5. Maybe top 10.

posted about 4 years ago

Huh? They can play different agents, they mostly play the same role. Anyways this is their first few games they’re probs still figuring agents/roles out.

After watching them throughout KR challengers in early 2021 to now i have noticed a couple issues. Dont get me wrong, DRX is a phenominal team but I just wanted to analyze a couple of weaknesses that have lead to their downfall every single time on the international stage.

The most obvious issue is mental. Whenever things stop going there way, their mental goes through the gutter, especially on important elimination matches. They have the mental to make comebacks, there are numerous examples of this in the KR challengers however in the most important games where they face elimination a couple of players always make impulsive mistakes, especially when they are down. A prime example of this would be Rb's plays on split. He constantly would dash into fights impulsively and get killed which would place DRX is a disadvantage. The overall team needs to work on performing at their best in these kinds of high pressure matches.

Secondly, their ability to freestyle in matches. DRX is an extremely strategic team. They go into each match with a game plan and each round with a game plan. The only issue is they are often times a team that has to play a significant amount of matches which gives time for their opponents to vod review and prepare and anti strat. A good example of this would be on the icebox game vs optic. Optic knew what DRX would try to do going into the round based on their research which gave them a lot of opportunities to counterstrat. Realistically, DRX should have been able to adapt and adress the issues, such as marved's lurks. However this is soemthing I have noticed, they are unable to adapt on the fly. This might be partially due to their mental, however it is crucial for teams to adapt and it seems like DRX is unable to adapt when needed, and when they are getting read. This leads to redundant plays and strategies that are less effective than they are usually. This is in part due to the amount of games DRX plays and the amount of vod teams are able to do but DRX has to adress this issue.

Thank you all for reading, I thought this topic was interesting as I really wanted to see DRX succeed this masters. Hopefully they can adress these issues next masters.
