Historically they’ve never been amazing at the map. On the other hand they banned split, which they’ve been much better on. Idk seems like a blunder to me.
I mean yes but if you watch that drx match again they do not have the best start and it was an uphill battle the whole match. I just think that what xset showed us is better than what optic has shown us recently. also i think it got moved to their permaban for a reason
The problem is that there is no good fucking smokes player. Jamppi is way too aggressive as a smokes player and dies first way too often. On top of that how liquid plays split away from their smokes is horrible and leaves Jamppi exposed. Soulcas is insane in general but his util usage on other agents like skye or fade is just so much better. Nivera is a great viper player but that’s it.
Tbh Xsets map pool is no where near as deep or good as optic
Optic will beat Xset on every map except icebox (their perma ban) and split (xsets best map)

I mean sure you’re proud. 100T have done amazing but that’s not the point of the new team is it? The point of this roster was to win it all. They won’t make lcq unless they get top 4 and after next year the roster will not stay the same. So no matter what it is a disappointing result.

Still yay imo. At times some of the things Derke does are questionable and his util usage is not as good as yay. But also I agree that fnatic does a better job setting up Derke.
Solely as a smokes player? No

His mechanics and smoke usage are just no where near as good as other people mentioned.
They looked amazing on ascent and had a really good start to fracture but now they are just peeking one by one or just lurking to find picks. Fracture is a map where you have to heavy execute on a site. Idk they look lost to me.
His game sense is also out of this world man wtf

This gameplay is horrendous. There are other teams miles better who deserve to win much more. Hopefully they can come back stronger tho! Also I think roster changes are needed very soon for M3C…
??? Acend have only been getting better since the inception of this new roster. Sure they have some rough patches but from what I see it looks promising.

I think faze has a really cool playstyle too. Its cool to watch when its happening successfully
DRX - created the breach meta in general
Gambit - didnt exactly create this but they popularized have a lurking sentinel/viper on maps like bind and icebox
Optic - Once again they werent the first to use neon on maps but they used her the best and were the team to popularize her use on maps like fracture split and haven. I also think they were one of the few teams to adopt the chamber meta early and show how powerful he was.
Acend - Were using omen on split even when he was "shit" but showed the power he held with oneways
PRX - Revived the double duelist meta and probably popularized the use of Yoru on maps like bind.
c9 - First started using kayo on breeze during lcq and popularized his use heavily.
Acend - Made the "meta" bind comp and popualrized the use of a single initator, sage, and brim on the map
Yes it seems like ghost had an extremely good read on 100T. I do think that the kj util being countered wasn’t the only reason they lost icebox tho. Usually with a kj, viper, and raze it should be very easy to hold post plants but it just seems like they could not. Also on breeze I think ghosts aggression and willingness to just run it down helped them a lot and didn’t allow 100T to play and methodical as they like to. Overall I think that the ghost match showed some key weaknesses and faze have a really good chance of exploiting these weaknesses as they have the perfect traits to do so.
Thx man! I def think that sean and mikeshd prep is inane however I think that the staff team for faze has also been doing some serious prep on their end. It will def be a close series!
100T v Faze
100T up until their match vs Ghost were the best attacking team and had the best post plant win rate. 100T before their ghost match had a 51% win rate on atk when they got the first kill. They also had a 90% post plant win rate and won 46% of 4v5s. These are all extremely impressive stats. It seems that 100Ts attack success comes from being able to play the post plant position. On top of that it seems that they are extremely comfortable by winning approximately 50% of the 4v5s which is extremely impressive. It also seems that 100T have been thriving in pistol rounds. If we look at the ghost game, it seems that 100T struggled with their post plant holds (it is important to take in mind that ghost is the best retake team). Overall 100T seemed like the most balanced attack team this split as they do not rely too heavily on one individuals performance.
Faze has been the #1 team in retakes in their group. They have also have the worst pistol win rate in their group. Another important thing to keep in mind is prior to this week, faze remained winless without babybay or dicey match mvping. It seems that babybay has been thriving on the neon role and bringing in flyuh has been a huge upgrade in firepower as well.
When taking a look at this, it seems that faze and 100t are complete opposites. This will be an extremely interesting match too. It seems that Faze relies on individual performance a lot however they have gotten better at supporting their superstarts throughout the group stage. Faze have also been extremely proficient in retakes which may be a problem for 100t. 100t was the best postplant team in their group however when faced with the best retake team in their group they struggled heavily. Faze can take advantage of this. On the other hand 100t have been good at securing pistols whereas faze had only won 23% of their pistol rounds. 100T can take huge advantage of this. Faze also seem to be good at utilizing the chamber pick with dicey in order to get first bloods on the defensive side whereas 100T seem to play a more standart defense as they dont use chamber nearly as much as other teams. The contrast in defensive style will be interesting. Also Faze's fk round turnover rate is extremely good which will be a challenge for 100t to overcome. On the attack, 100T seems to distribute the fragging equally most of the time whereas on Faze most of the picks usually come from babybay dicey or flyuh. This is another stark contrast in playstyle that will be interesting.
When looking at map pool it seems that 100t are best on split, bind, fracture and breeze. The respective win rates are 75%, 83%, 100%, and 71%.
When looking at the map pool of faze their best maps are haven, ascent, fracture, and breeze. The respective win rates are 100%, 75%, 50%, and 100%.
Faze have yet to play split and permaban bind, and 100Ts bans float between ascent and haven. Assuming that the permabans go as predicted, bind and haven are presumably out of the map pool. I would assume that faze either go to fracture or breeze as they seems extremely comforable on those maps and 100t picks split since faze have never played it this split and it seems to be 100ts comfort pick. From there on every map is fair game to be in or out of the map pool.

In the end i think that faze could end up taking this match up due to their prowess in fragging and their agression is the perfect counter to 100ts methodical playstyle. I think that faze has improved so much over the course of the group stage and this is the perfect place to show how they can frag out but still remain fundemental. I do think if it goes to a third map that 100t have a solid chance of taking the series. Overall an amazing matchup

Yea there will be a lot of really solid rosters and players getting dropped. I think a lot of the LG boys will either get picked up individually or as a team. I think TSM will go through a big rebuilding process too. I can see xset not getting a franchise spot and all those players are really solid too.
Kinda funny to see all those tsm fans who talked shit abt 100t losing to tsm. thank god they got humbled when looking at the group standings.
