pretty much the same that happens rn, the things is it also perjudicates teams who werent preparing to get 1st seed on stage 1 because they didnt care about the 3 points (lets say t1 for example) now that you get 1st seed you will start shanghai from playoffs and will have way more advantage because you will not only see how everyone plays, you´ll also now what they try for the new meta and what comps you can steal from them which is also a pretty huge advantage, now teams not only will have to worry about making shanghai but also about making 1st seed which will make finals fun af for viewers but it will be a hell for players.

the thing is this is great for viewers but bad for pro players because some teams (loud) base their playstyle on viper and having to make up new strats for shanghai is gonna take them more time than 2 weeks before shanghai starts so its very fucked for some teams and they are getting punished for playing the meta
