well what we begged for ig, but still kinda fucked up forr teams who dont make it to ascension tourney, also there is still no reply about if they are going to make the americas ascension have more slots, because 6 is a joke for developing our region´s tier 2, specially if half the matches are just seeding.

In the same vein, we will move Challengers Ascension to September, after Champions, so it has its own moment in the spotlight. We believe Ascension is one of the most exciting moments of the year in the VCT, as it’s the culmination of a path to pro journey and has incredibly high stakes. This change will better position it in the calendar and allow it to shine even more.

The second challenge we saw this year was the calendar. We ultimately don’t believe that Challenger teams are getting enough reps, which hinders their ability to develop.
For the many teams that don’t qualify for Ascension tournaments, their season ends in early June. That means more than half of the year without an official tournament to compete in. I said before that I believe that a long offseason is good — it gives pros time to rest, teams time to experiment with new strategies and players, and fans the opportunity to miss the sport. But the current break is too long. We expect to have a good amount of 3rd party tournaments during the offseason, but we understand teams need a longer calendar to justify an entire operation.
An unfortunate reality is that teams in this tier come and go depending on their results and success in Challengers. But that’s the nature of developmental and access leagues in every sport, and something we don’t expect to change. VALORANT is one of the most competitive esports in the world; getting to the top is supposed to be hard. Many will take a shot at ascending, but only the best will succeed.

tbf purp0 in wasnt the problem, purp0 is good imo but he was just not experienced with that team at all and they fucked up all the synergy doing it.
tbf its not about seeding, looking at how the teams played blg vs nrg was a clownfest and fut vs t1 too, loud vs navi and edg vs gia were more competitive and drx vs loud prx vs edg were also great matches, its just about actually watching it all tbh, maybe both prx and drx get bombed (unlikely af) but which teams are more likely to finish 8th rn? be honest man blg and fut.

if he didnt go nuclear against zeta on bind it could´ve been 1 free map for zeta and he also carried hard on haven, somehow everyone is blaming everything on ardiis today, his day was against zeta and yet today the other 3 players dissapeared for this game too (except victor) i know yay got us used to 70 per game but its logical to think he couldnt have saved nrg dont lie to yourselves, the meta evolved on a way that yay couldnt adapt yet, maybe there is better options than ardiis on NA tier 2 rn (i genuinely think oxy koalanoob and bdog are pretty much the same ngl) but we cant blame it all on him or wish for him to get out

not really just the fact that they have flexible players because giants has 5 tbh, but also the fact their coaching staff and igls are pretty good and has adapted their gameplans pretty good on the teams
yeah, imo its just a consequence of the actual banter but on off season im pretty sure everyone will stop baiting when teams start their rostermania
they are in the middle of both, just like how russia has some places on eu and others on asia
alfajer was better on masters which was a more competitive tournament, ofc leo is close 2nd btw and 1st on terms of util.
they have the current undisputed best player itw and also along cn and kr they have the only team on champions which succeeds with 5 players from the same country (and even if they didnt succeed this year they have a shit ton of players to try out next year and try to aim higher and even try to win it all) if it wasnt because of tr and ru which arent even eu, emea would be a big region but not near as successful because they would have to rely on poland,france and some other places to find success with a lot of talented but not proven players.

loud has to play either against prx or fnc, they had to play against lev when they looked like the best team of champions back on 2022 and made a comeback which gives them ptsd so i´d say loud could get through any of those with enough luck and individual plays considering they have the best team of americas individually (yeah even over eg imo, the only gap between both is the midround and the util from eg)
