you have to qualify to win, teams are built 5 off season months prior to win this tourney, it gives points for champions so its important to win and ofc to try, in my books it isnt mickey mouse tbh but it definitely wont be as competitive as masters 2 and champs and i dont think it will have as much value to win it than to win any of the following ones

because they thought implementing franchising was a better idea but teams like eg are about to be broke so idk how good it was

i understand the burnout more if your game is literally the same everytime but valorant being so diverse in playstyles and agent pool makes it easier to not get bored with imo

burntout?? on cs you play like 60 matches a year even if you are from tier 2, teams on franchiising will play more than 10 only if they are built different i understand how a burnout works but if someone complains because he plays "much" why be a pro in the first place??? "omg i have to do my job"

teams which dont succed will have at most 10 games during the year (it was pretty much the same last year btw) how is this competitive? you can get teared apart from your team without even playing more than 10 matches because there isnt a limit to when you can get kicked out from your team if you dont qualify to a international "major event" they didnt simply ruin tier 2 but also tier 1 because the amount of games "pro players" are playing isnt even worth the pay they are getting they are getting paid to scrim more than to play, because there isnt even extern tournaments with interesting prizepools or anything and off season will still be 5 months long its almost as if the format is worse than last year, they did the exact opposite of what we wanted, masters has less spots, franchising has less matches and teams have less chances to improve.

also there is a huge problem with this because if teams keep changing everytime they fuck up because they are out of matches for the entire year after playing 8 games. teams like fnatic and loud and paper rex will never really have a real competition as long as they keep their core because there will never be new talent on tier 2 and tier 1 talent wont be able to develop with this amount of matches a year.
