Nah I think it’ll just be worse at champs but right now china has 2 teams which can do a lot of trouble at internationals and then the rest are kinda bad. I think it was kinda early to make china franchised but soon enough they will get third and fourth good teams and it will all be competitive

Tbh I don’t even agree. Fpx shows to be a strong team the problem is that there’s a major falloff after that. Either 2 or 3 slots causes some trouble and making every region have the same slots is a balanced solution I think

Riot holds a meeting to discuss Champions Los Angeles 2023 on August 6th. All is going well, until they bring up the prospect of match fixing in Chinas favour.
When Riot brought up the prospect of a major team (top 2 in their region at least) losing to China's second seed, Bilibili Gaming, disaster struck.
Riot want it to be specifically Bilibili to show that China is not a one team region. The plan of Edward Gaming at Tokyo was successful and made many fans of the promising team, but it was not enough to make China look strong as people just began to see them as a one team region.
Riot wanted 2 teams of each region at playoffs to show that Valorant is a worldwide game without a dominant region. Bilibili was best suited as they were the second best team in China.
FNS heard this and stood up with anger and disobedience. He spoke of how it was unfair to subject a team to a script where they would be embarrassed and ridiculed for an entire offseason, as Riot specifically were only looking at top teams to be beaten by Bilibili.
He insulted the name 'Bilibili' and said that it would be brutally wrong for them to subject them to this embarrassment, especially because of the 'goofy' name and 6 month offseason.
When he shouted "Whoever is with me, stand up!" s0m immediately erected himself, however, he was the only one standing. FNS had to ask Victor and Crashies to stand and they eventually did. (This caused the severing of FNS-Victor-Crashies as FNS was mad at them and did not want to play with them, hes now forgiven them and has finally decided to rejoin.) Also during this time Ardiis couldnt stand (but he wouldve) as he was still bloated from the In-N-Out in Los Angeles.
China made an example of NRG and forced them to lose to Bilibili not once, but twice, ending their season and embarrassing all the players. This is the real reason NRG lost.
