how can both 1.4 and CSGO have defined your childhood? that makes zero sense given the timelines.

CS 1.4 was released 2002, so you must have been AT LEAST 6 years old to have played it. CSGO was released 2012 so you would have been AT LEAST 16 then, which isn't childhood anymore.

His demand is more a reflection fo the lack of personalities they can turn to rather than him being good.

posted about 3 years ago

What does this prove?

posted about 3 years ago

Typical Lothar gold fanboy. His analysis is almost always at the very least slightly off. He doesn't use the agents he loves well himself.

I'll take any IMM3 viper over lothar and I'll have a bigger chance of winning.

posted about 3 years ago

Personally can't stand lothar. He only raves about viper and breach, misreads pro plays all the time, calls out things but then doesn't spot other interesting things that are happening.

And every time I've played against him, he loses hardcore and is constantly raging and whining about his teammates on his stream. Thinks he's an amazing viper himself but gets viper diffed every game he plays lol

The level goes up, so something does change?

The backstory of stories in the scene is bigger and more fans of the individual player, so viewership goes up, so something does change?

posted about 3 years ago

Those are literally super easy to learn. S1mple has been perfecting the tiniest things in CS for ages. What you just mentioned is nothing compared to the detail he has in cs

Not many T1 players actually switched. Give me an example of a T1 player that switched and didn't perform well

Yay uses his util crazy well, makes loads of space and yeah he has insane aim.

All you need in a jett. Especially the making of space is important, and yay is better at it than anyone else in that list

posted about 3 years ago
  1. yay (this guy is by far the best jett imo, he's fucking insane, doesnt matter if his team isnt up to his level)

reduced how accurate it is while crouched though

and recoil is supposed to be quite a bit worse, making it harder to control

What are you on about?

Spread decreased means the bullets are going more straight towards where the crosshair is.

the more spread, the more random the bullets.

Lower spread is always good.

EDIT: Nice edit, you realized you fucked up

posted about 3 years ago

spread decreased is a buff.

Recoil increased is the nerf here

different skills? Comparing apples to oranges here. If you asked "CS or Valorant" or "league or dota" you could give an answer, but not like this

+1 there is no reason for him to play breach when you've got probably the best breach in europe, L1NK, on your team.

We'll just have to see how their roles change with the introduction of neon and chamber.

Liquid is probably the most versatile team in EU when it comes to agent pool in general. They'll figure it out

posted about 3 years ago

ScreaM has played jett, reyna, sage, phoenix, breach, KAY/O

It's a decent agent pool for a main duelist

you can literally find a clip like that from any pro player

Again, I'm aware of this. I'm not making any value statements in my comment. The ban lasting as long as it did for Jamppi was absolutely ridiculous and he should have been unbanned years ago given the circumstances.

Glad he's finding success in Valorant now though, great person to have in the scene. Hope he doesn't return to CS now that he's thriving in valorant

posted about 3 years ago

Yeah I'm aware. But when he started Valorant his valve ban was still in effect

posted about 3 years ago

steel, dazed, brax, AZK, jamppi, fxy0

only a few examples of people that were banned from CS that are now in valorant. I bet there's more

Episode 3 is coming out at the same time as neon. It is very likely the bigger balance changes are happening then.

Just like we had the economy overhaul for last episode

Thanks for the extra nuance, that's exactly what I was referring to. If anything, I feel like NA has better "mechanical talents" than EU at the moment right now, better individual skill. It's the mindset that seems to make the biggest difference here.

posted about 3 years ago

+1 the whole twitch popularity in NA is a big detriment to the pro scene. Twitch pays more and people feed off of their ego worshippers on twitch. This partly results in the bigger overarching goal in NA Val is becoming the top tier fragger, while in EU there are more good "support" players that just play for the team and don't care as much for their stats. Your Xyp9x type player.

Of course this is a huge generalization but it boils down to this in the end. in EU CS you can list so many great support players and we're seeing this come up in EU valorant as well, while it is much harder to do so in NA CS and NA Val

Teams with cs veterans are doing best. So why are you surprised?

posted about 3 years ago

Are you a moron?

posted about 3 years ago

Murizz is a moron then. Teams have been penalized for this exact exploit before

posted about 3 years ago

Why do you instantly revert to the “xenophobic” comment? An eu team has been penalized for this before. It’s not because they’re brazilian that this ruling happened

posted about 3 years ago

Worst thing is the karma system in general really, it reduces the fun factor that you get on HLTV for example, with people hunting for karma

This doesn't have to be reddit

vlr is all about upvotes and downvotes, and people bandwagoning together to upvote or downvote the same comments

posted about 3 years ago

This 100%. I think jamppi would be fucking deadly on chamber. Has the brains to use the util creatively too

posted about 3 years ago

I don't understand why they don't stick with jamppi/nivera awping. It worked really well previously and ScreaM simply doesn't have the impact with the operator he has with the rifles.

Just watch jamppi (or nivera) pick up chamber afterwards. Will shake things up

posted about 3 years ago

In talks, very likely, but not confirmed. Given the state of 100t right now i bet it'll be announced soon

posted about 3 years ago

when people say EU they mean europe, not european union

posted about 3 years ago

nothing to do with low skill level. More with how new the game is and how in flux the pro scene still is.

some regions are still developing and there simply is so much content and pro vods to learn from, more than at the start in older esports. Also have a meta that is still evolving so its natural the pro scene will change quite a bit still

posted about 3 years ago

Jamppi is indeed more versatile but i think shahzam is better in specific roles so it balances out that way

If you think about it, it seems liquid is one of the most versatile teams in the tournament when it comes to the number of agents their players play. Each of them play like 3-4 ages consistently

posted about 3 years ago

Def spiciest matchup in the tournament for me personally.

posted about 3 years ago

ScreaM > TenZ
Nivera > zombs
jamppi = shahzam
L1NK = dapr
soulcas < sick

imo

posted about 3 years ago

I agree with you - Just providing a possible reason. They may have studied what acend did to combat gambit strats on bind and used that as a justification to let bind slip through.

I also personally have no clue about Secret's map pool, it may be that they're simply more confident on bind than on the other maps they banned against gambit
