Sure but I mean valve didnt really invent the format or anything, they just use it because it makes sense, I dont feel anybody who has a bit of brain would say the copied it, the fact it would extend too much the duration of the tournament can be solved with having a B and C stream, also since its bo2 it allows teams to play at least 2 matches a day, I doubt it extending too much would be a problem, imo the real problem would be getting the casual fans to understand where and when matches would be played
