So I decided to write a thread about which vlr team ratings you should invest in.
#1: $SMB
SuperMassive Blaze is arguably the best Turkish team and possibly the best EMEA team currently. They are 6th place in the EMEA team rankings and have gained +80 rating points every time they've won, and will compete in the international Masters event in Berlin.
#2: $NV
Envy has qualified to Berlin and brought along a new star duelist in yay. yay's performance helped Envy embark on a successful 3rd place finish, beating TSM, FaZe Clan, and XSET. Be sure to watch them place high in Berlin this September.
#3: $HL
Havan Liberty showed us the true potential of Brazilian VALORANT, running a never-seen-before triple initiator composition. Their ruthless tactics combined with their training philosophy carried them to Berlin and a grand finals berth of the Brazilian Challengers Playoffs.
#4: $F4Q
Originally a team full of content creators, F4Q suprised everyone when they stunned DAMWON Gaming to qualify for Masters: Berlin. Consisting of former Overwatch players zunba and Bunny, popular streamer FiveK, former TNL and QS player Efina, former Rio Company and T1 Korea player Esperanza, and last but not least their genius coach Locomotive who previously coached for Rio Company and T1 Korea.
#5: $PRX
Paper Rex has qualified to the Berlin Masters, off the back of insane performances by their young Jett superstar (you've heard that a lot) named f0rsaken. So far, they've gone 5-1-0 in the SEA Challengers Playoffs, only dropping a map to FULL SENSE and BREN Esports. Make sure to watch out for the Singaporean-Indonesian team as they compete in the Berlin Masters.

No. Playoffs is SIngle Elim exclusively. All major events are single elim playoffs. It is a tense format that rewards the best of the best.

Stop arguing about slots for Champions. Seriously. The best way to do it is something like Siege, where all points standings are combined and points are heavily dependant on international performance. This means, better regions + teams = more qualification for better teams. But wait you say, wouldn't that mean an exclusive NA + EMEA + some KR event? No, there are still regional qualifiers, and you can still earn points through top placements in your region. Here's the link:

they have decent ideas but make the same mistakes that the SEA teams do too. IMO KR will win LCQ, and it will be
KR > JP = SEA = CN > SA

Scheduling, Again, it's impossible to schedule it correctly without adding another day to the event. Think about it this way. In your scenario, you're playing the group matches and you complete group A, but you've only played 2 bo3. Then. you complete group B, but you've only played 2 bo3. It is shit, I agree, but that's how it works

posted about 3 years ago

Because scheduling. Max. 3 Bo3 per day.
10th: Group A Opening Matches + Elimination Match
11th: Group B Opening Matches + Elimination Match
12th: "C"
13th: "D"
14th: Group A Winner's, Loser's Final and Group Final
15th: Group B Winner's, Loser's Final and Group Final
16th: "C"
17th: "D"
18th: Playoffs Semifinals
19th: Playoffs Final
