Twistzz is in a rare place of privilege for NA players - he is signed to consistent tier 1 / top20 rosters that do decent in International and European events. Compare that to players like Vanity, Wardell, Chaos EC players, etc, and Twistzz is miles ahead in job stability. It's not really good faith for him to attack other players like that.
On top of that, yes you could put in hundreds of hours in CS to be slightly better than the average pro. But at the end of the day, NACS was/still is in a shithole where there are only a handful of orgs that pay a living salary to the players (Liquid, EG) or had access to international events like IEM; compounded with COVID it made it impossible for orgs to travel to Europe and compete.
With that said, Valve certainly did not try to keep NACS alive. Compared to Riot, Valve basically said "Europe and maybe Brazil sometimes are the only regions that exist in our game now".
So outside of this top 3-4 dream, you're basically fucked as a NACS player. Now, this new, shiny opportunity comes along and it's named VALORANT with guaranteed org investment and support from the publisher. You have two choices: Keep grinding and put in more hours for a shot at the dream all while battling financial problems, or switch to VALORANT, giving you a new lease of life and a fresh start with security. Keep in mind that North America is basically making it or breaking it, and breaking it is all the way down. No social security net; no programs to keep you afloat.
Granted I still think CS is a bigger esport if you live in either Europe or Brazil, but VALORANT has more potential in regions that Valve forgot about (Asia, NA).
TLDR: Twistzz dick. Valve ruined NACS so no opps for players, hard to distinguish yourself. Riot gave players second life. That's why many switched.
yeah lol 8am - 3:30 pm, and then sports/extracurriculars for 2-3 more hours, then homework for 3 hours, then instrument practice, then bed/free time. I'm asian tryhard so my schedule is a bit tougher than others
