Bullet dropoff?

posted about 3 years ago

Ok this is super convoluted and unnecessarily complicated but I think I've finally got it.

posted about 3 years ago

+1, if somebody like xLinksz can help clarify this format please reply

Is this the first main qualifier for the main event? As in, there will be challenger 2 and 3 and out of those three challenger tournaments you are gonna have 8 teams that will make it to the main event? Or is this the main event?

Also, is brazil already at the last stage pls this is so confusing and vlr.gg is doing a pretty bad job

nah, there is nothing more perfect in life than humbling arrogant idiots. i mean the idiot thought that saying return of investment in an acronym would make him sound smart. absolute douche

"Its actually so telling of someones' level of intelligence when they repeatedly respond erratically" - ad hominem, obviously you would go there since you've ran out of "arguments"

"to actual points" You've posted nothing but blabbering basic level investment terms without actually having any knowledge of what they mean. You expect to full a 4th year Economics student with this absolute bs you are pulling out?

"Typical low IQ insult" yes you are very low IQ

"logical CBA and ROI incentives" hahahaha, you went to a three month class and you suddenly became an expert? have you invested 20$ on bitcoin and now feel like the big stonker? The incentives are and always will be clear, squeeze out money from a new title and eventually drop it and drop the people that made you that money under the bus. It's a repetitive pattern that goes way back. Here's a simple example, the 2008 crash. You want esports examples? HotS, CSGO. I never said they are doing something impractical and non-beneficial. I specifically stated the absolute FACT they are doing something UNETHICAL. But you wouldn't know the difference you absolute autist.

Unless you are willing to give me examples where such strategies benefited the entire market instead of the few sponsors and shareholders of the orgs then your braindead, hollow argument is inadmissable. Tell me ONE GAME where the very thing I stated would happen HASN'T happened in NA. Any game other than LoL. I'm waiting and I will be waiting 'til the end of time because you can't come up with one.

Unlike me, where I came up with 8 notable esports titles that this very bubble system has come to fruition to, just from the top of my head.

" Like you're using your own confusion as a way to say that what I was saying doesn't make sense, when you legitimately just cant string sentences together properly. Reading comprehension folks. What a logical fallacy here." blahblahblah more ad homindem, the loser's tool

"You still completely failed to understand what I was saying about risk and longevity" Let me tell you about risk. The investors have 0 risk. The ones who have risk are the athletes who invest their time and work effort in the game even though they will be thrown under the bus once the game loses the hype. Much like in 2008, the bankers were making profit out of people's naivity and belief that they deserved a home. Much like the players here believe they deserve a career.

It's not my problem you still can't understand that my whole point wasn't about investors losing their money, I don't give a fuck about them. It's about them giving false notions that this is an unlimited market and seducing esports athletes into making them short tem revenue, and then ditching them.

" Imagine asking me to type properly when your entire paragraph is riddled with errors on every level of basic English" Not only am I not obligated to know perfect English, since I doubt you know any other language, but I actually do and I challenge you to even quote one grammatical error I've made. Tip: You can't, I probably know better English than your redneck looking ass.

"You still don't know the difference between an investor and a shareholder" As long as a company has gone public, there is no difference. Buying shares is an investment you dummy. If you deny this simple fact not only are you making shit up on the spot but you also prove to be an uneducated and economically illiterate bullshit spouter.

"You somehow misinterpreted what I said" Like you misinterpreted everything I've said.

"Anyway, Serenity clearly proved they aren't some Tier 5 org"
They are not a tier 5 org, they are a tier 5 team. They only beat EG and took a map off Sentinels. You know what else they've achieved? Losing 0-2 to ez5 and 0-2 to NeverDone. They have also lost to Snowmen (?), Teal Seam. They've also never competed in tier1 tournaments. Their best result against a real team was when they took a map off Sentinels.

"Who is even talking about "Matching CSGO"???" You are gonna have to match games like CSGO and LoL if you are going to invest 5-6 times the amount people invest in those games.

You do realize that a return to investment is literally irrelevant to what will happen to the players right? You think this is the first time employers will leave their workforce high and dry just so they don't lose on their investment?

" Why in gods name would a shareholder be looking at PRIZE POOLS for a scene to determine their level of involvement? LOL OF COURSE IM TALKING ABOUT VIEWERSHIP. That is not a metric we are looking at idk why tf you're confused. Wait I know why. Lmfao. This means that there is intention for stability and longevity when sponsors and shareholders are involved, which is always clearly known depending on the org."

So what was your metric? Are you willing to disclose the inner workings of your great algorithm? Oh wait, there was no metric, you were just spouting shit hoping you would sound smart enough for people to not notice how much of an illiterate idiot you are. FOUR replies in and the only explanation you've given for your "metric" is just "a couple thousand". You god damn imbecile. A couple thousand what? Dineros? A couple thousand what? Are you going to answer or just insult me again and prove you have nothing to answer with?

"You were very excited to shit on a new roster's results, period." This roster ain't going anywhere and as much as I appreciate ALEKSANDR and Temperature they don't deserve the EG tag.

"You were visibly excited to see this scene fail, period" Oh no, I'm visibly excited to see CSGO vol2 happen again and again in NA. Just love watching idiots fall for the same shit over and over again. The definition of insanity.

"This is an objective observation." lmao yeah, because you can be objective over sentiment that was WRITTEN, you absolute dumbass. Other than an expert hedge fund manager are you also a psychologist and a renowned glossologist? Fuck outta here

"And it was apparent to everyone in this thread, not just me wildly misinterpreting you." It was apparent to a bunch of idiots who thought I was shitting on their beloved youtubers like Hiko and TenZ.

"So you're still the odd one out here. Have a nice life. Sike. Fuck off loser." Oh no, how will I ever recover.

Anyway, this was easy. Goodnight, inferior degenerate.

Short by a couple thousand what? Prizepool? Viewers? Fucking idiot. At least make sure you type your imbecilic message properly.

Anyway, valorant tourneys don't and won't match csgo's for a long time. Especially when the game is dependent on content creation and not competition.

I never said investors are doing a shitty job (although most times they do that's why there's been countless bankrupt esports orgs throughout the years), they know what they are doing and they will come off with little to no loss at worst. What I said is that they will have to throw many players under the bus, just like they did in csgo, dota, hearthstone, starcraft, heroes of the storm etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc they will cashgrab what they can by having "a brand new team in a brand new game with brand new potential esports personalities and brand new content to showcase their brand new sponsors". What happens when it stops being brand new? Where is the stability factor.

There is no excitement, you're just an autistic imbecile who misinterpreted my notions. It's clear pessimism and sarcasm as to how scummy esports orgs can be.

But I wouldn't expect a low IQ individual to understand. Can't believe I gave you the benefit of the doubt just because I couldn't see you were talking absolute bs from the start

You are still not explaining what you mean with comparative scale. Excuse me for not having english as my native language. Now stop acting like a pompus pretentious prick and explain it properly.

posted about 3 years ago

oh so it works as a qualifier for a wildcard qualifier?

posted about 3 years ago

Thank god. Hopefully dizzyLife's team doesn't have to move to NA now

posted about 3 years ago

The "can't wait" part was clearly sarcastic with a tone of pessimism. The tourneys are nowhere near csgo's, let's not kid ourselves. They have 1/20th the viewership and prize pool. Share holders don't produce marketing power, viewership does, and viewership is clear.

You're deluded. What do you mean by comparative? Compared to what?

why cant frenchies form a superteam :(
in cs the french scene was always intact its sad to see there are no pure french lineups in this game with so many good french players

posted about 3 years ago

With a little research I've made a list. NA scene currently has at least 25 top orgs that pay big wages. At the best scenario where Valorant becomes as big as LoL, only half of them will stay in the scene, that will leave 50% of these players wageless. Most likely scenario is 8 of them will be able to stay and just like basto said, 75% of them will jump ship.

posted about 3 years ago

Yes, but you said I'm "hoping for all these people to be jobless" when the only ones that will get them to that point are the orgs and their malpractice.

NA Valorant is currently the most paid esport scene in any game. But Valorant isn't the finished article and isn't even close to being the biggest esport. It's inevitable.

posted about 3 years ago

Already eliminated by tier5 btw.

posted about 3 years ago

Oh no, you misinterpreted my comment. This is more criticism to how NA esports orgs operate and how they don't care about their players and would leave them high and dry easily. Case in point, NA CSGO, NA Dota. This hunt for content and the next big thing is bound to leave people jobless. I'm not hoping for anything, I'm waiting for the inevitable. You think a single region can handle 30 top tier orgs? What about VCT and the fact only 8 of those will play in it and only 3 will go to champions? That leaves the other 27 having overpaid in salaries. It's bound to happen. LCS, the biggest NA esports league, has space for 12 orgs. The market is oversaturated, a huge bubble that will inevitably implode.

That's their business model, invest early and jump ship as soon as they realize there is no space for them.

posted about 3 years ago

That leaves flyquest, and all NA orgs will have a valorant team

Can't wait for this scene implode and burst when they realise most of these teams won't be profitable

posted about 3 years ago

Lmao paycheck stealers
I doubt they can even compete yet they are signed by a huge org because of their "reputation" on another game, sounds like NA

Unbased, HLTV came before each except gotfrag. And it looks nothing like gotfrag.

A copy of over.gg? I doubt anybody knows what that dead forum of a dead game even is. I'd say over.gg is a copy of teamfortress.gg and leave itt there.

posted about 3 years ago

Oh right. Im so sorry juanme please forgive me. I actually looked i just forgot to inform you because i had nothing to inform you about. I bear sad news:

there is no link, yes i forgot about it, but all i could find is hidden behind student-only content. Meaning you'd have to get a card from an educational institute.

Another way is to buy books. Otherwise you need to search shit online, but online it gets mixed up because there are different sources for mythology. Others from theatre, others from poetry and others from song/telling. So it gets mixed up and there is no set canon.

What a shitshow. This has been a shitty month for valorant esports, a player caught cheating, a player unfairly banned for cheating (critical) because of a crybaby (ninja), and then being unbanned. Teams being disqualified twice for some meaningless bs like this.
