I totally agree I think their decision to do OW2 and desert OW1 was disastrous. They have said that the content release schedule will be faster than it ever was in OW1 so I think they probably have learned from Valorant, at least I hope so.

People stopped playing the game because of the slow addition of new content and then the ending of all new content when OW2 development started. If the devs regularly add stuff to the game it will keep a large player base easily (Obviously not as large as valorant).

It plays completely different from OW1, what are you talking about? They reworked a ton of heroes, took out almost all annoying stuns, took out or nerfed most shields, and it is 5v5 so it plays much faster and individuals can have a much larger impact. It just looks the same because they have not put all of the new maps and heroes in the beta and obviously the PVE stuff.

If there is a constant stream of updates like they say they are going to have, the game will be able to sustain a healthy community for a while
