I'm hoping NRG/100T/G2/ or C9 pick them up as an academy roster, that way they won't play at Ascension but can keep competing in T2 as a team until Canezerra/Ion are old enough to play and Eggster/Inspire can just stream in the mean time. Inspire might even get picked up to T1 before those other 2 are able to play.

That's fair, and not to discredit Mikes accomplishments, but I don’t place much value on things from 3 years ago at this point, the game has evolved so much but I do think it shows he's a smart guy and has good work ethic. I agree that he’s solid strategically, and that’s probably all NRG needs. I think s0m, FNS, and Ethan are strong enough leaders that they don’t necessarily need a head coach who leads in that way. It reminds me of when SEN switched from Sykko to Kaplan. While Kaplan has since proven to be strong both strategically and in leadership, when he first replaced Sykko, it felt like he was more focused on strategy.

I don't think Verno to Brawk is as much of a downgrade as people are making it out to be. Verno has higher potential and reached higher peaks in T2, but I think Brawk can be very good for them. especially since his comms are way better than Verno. The more concerning part is going from Bonkar to Mikes, in my opinion. If it was Verno for Brawk while still having Bonkar, I wouldn't be worried at all, but I need Mikes to prove me wrong. Clearly, FNS and the team wasn't seeing eye to eye with Bonkar but I still think he's a much better coach than Mikes.

Exactly. I hope Bonkar isn't encouraging that behavior, but I really do hope he learns from this that you can't half ass your way through everything. This kind of makes it seem like he dominated T2 purely off his raw skill more than anything else combined with Bonkar's game planning.

The silver lining is that this might be the best thing for Verno's career. He might have needed this to happen to humble himself a bit because talent wise, he has all the intangibles you'd want in a player.

The zoomers have finally taken over challengers NA. All the T2-T3 pros who have floated around the past 3 seasons are going to get stomped this year by the teams full of ranked demons. Having a 1 stable pro with experience and 4 cracked aimers is going to be the wave this year. Excited to watch M80, Cubert, Rankers, TSM, etc this year.
