ok, Google says:
"Chinese Taipei" is the term used in various international organizations and tournaments for groups representing the Republic of China, a state commonly known as Taiwan.
So Riot has simply reverted to using "Taiwan" so people can understand what region it is better

look at the PACIFIC league - "Chinese Taipei & Hong Kong" has been changed to "Taiwan & Hong Kong". Does this actually change the region of play for that Challengers section or it's just Riot trying to be politically correct?
edit: The VLR image was taken before the official VALORANT Esports article image was changed.
eedit 2: Chinese Taipei and Taiwan are the same place, certaiin organizations refer to Taiwan as Chinese Taipei (they're interchangable but each may have a political meaning)

Whomegalul vs TenZ
seriously hadn't heard shit about him b4 val stuff occurred
Need more LAN experience then we'll see
saw this in the feed at 69k views
f0rsakeN is good though? there are many APAC players who can perform in EMEA
NgL “Challengers Ascension” is mid considering it should be an event higher than Challengers. Why don’t they just keep it as “VCT Ascension” or something
Any ideas?
Edit: shouldn’t it be “International League Ascension” or something it’s not like teams who win are going back to Challengers
Alright. So you’re boot camping in Veracruz or Tampa or something like that? Must be nice!
Are you guys actually competing or is this a “role play” thing (genuinely curious)
Because I’m not sure loud made franchising like you
Probably, excited to see them in the NA scene if that happens!
Ight
I hope Dark Ratio stays together and competes in the in game qualifiers for Challengers next year
<3
well rip, still curios though
Do teams that make international leagues get the 600k stipend? Could mean a lot for orgs not financially stable
So let’s say PRX stays together for 2023. I was reading that teams that are franchised get 600k just for being there. Also teams that win Ascension events and get a slot at International (franchised) Leagues for 2 years. Does that also mean they get the 600k?? (Basically if PRX gets a slot they don’t have to worry about funding)
Edit: realize PRX core is not staying together, but I’m still curious about the 600k jackpot for International League promotions
dude. This level of detail is incredible, great explanation. Thank you!
So basically
VRL = challengers now (challengers has been decreased in level of competition)
winners of challenger = go to challenger ascension (3 event where americas, emea, pacific each attend)
winners of challenger ascension = get slot at the 3 international league (also americas, emea, pacific but higher, franchised teams are already here)
winner of international league = get to go to global event (like masters, champions)
yes, I see your point. I've removed it
thanks! hopefully people can understand the changes better with this.

I've caught a lot of errors in my explanation, this one is much more concise.

DOPE AF, a touch thinner font + more spacing and it's perfect
he said Riot had news, and linked a Rainbow 6 stream disguised as a Riot link
Recommend capitializing Tu Stultus and adding letter spacing

yes, but I fail to understand why this is happening, is it for a franchised teams reveal or smt?
this Champions? Even teams that didn't qualify? why?
