? buzz is a god on raze i think you forgot how he destroyed c9 on split with it in champs, he didn't have to learn shit. buzz raze > rb raze, they could've kept buzz on duelists with rb learning sentinels or kept k1ng back after champs.

posted about a year ago

buzz can play raze back in champs and destroyed with it, this was also when neon came out, i'm sure he could've learned and played the agent same as how he learned kj.
rb also was a sova player before and i'm sure he was willing to learn sentinels, if rb refused to they probably would've kept k1ng no?

i mean nuturn back then had a weak map pool, instaban icebox, had to play haven and get rolled on it every macth so it's different

WTF IS HAPPENING WITH DRX???
11-1??????

posted about a year ago

he's prob the best indo player behind f0rsaken and really great mechanics for a sentinel/viper player. he was playing sova back then which seemed perfect for prx to pick up, but he's not far behind jinggg imo, just different style of play.

In this podcast, they almost didn't get Jinggg for their lineup after berlin
After they bombed out in Berlin while still in the hotel they had to pick either Lmemore, BerserX, Monyet, or Jingg
BerserX and Monyet denied but Lmemore actually said yes, however a couple minutes later chose to play with ONIC cause Severine persuaded him to
mindfreak and f0rsaken also said they would've wanted to keep shiba and give him another chance but he had military service
PRX would be playing in VCT ID and might not be what they are today

yeah they're way better now

posted about a year ago

that's true I guess, but imo the hype when it comes to the classic no LB playoffs like in csgo majors is different. all teams are coming from group stages and the #1 seed will play the #2. also, it might make teams play to their max potential if there are no lowers.

16 teams and no LB in playoffs

you're not wrong, but paper rex owns guild

zekken said something along the lines of "our eu scrims were bad" when someone asked, but he might be joking

then you're not aware of the shit he typed and quickly edited kek

this could be the case, last masters NA/EMEA also faced seed #2 teams.

the english stream is on the main valorant channel, i'd reckon if APAC GF is on there, there would definitely be more. However twitch isn't really popular in most SEA countries.

fair enough if DK is popular in china as i don't really know what's going on there, and also if lol viewership outnumbers mobile games. maybe internationally they are bigger. however mobile game orgs are definitely able to attract top dog sponsors, such as samsung mentioned in my reply below

posted about a year ago

that doesn't really tell the whole story. alter ego is literally sponsored by samsung, 500$ BILLION net worth, redbull and also steelseries. doesn't mean samsung is funding more than oppo is to btr right? the ig fanbase of bigetron is bigger than dwg, 2.2 million folllowers with dwg only 95k. obviously the investors pays attention to the possible numbers their brands can be exposed to. maybe internationally DK is bigger cuz of lol i guess.

top 3 in the first ever international lan, with a terrible playoffs system with only 10 teams that allows them to go top 3 while only winning 2 matches against 2nd seed teams of diff regions. top 8 in the second masters event. 2 top 8 finishes in the most important event of the year > top 3 in the first one with 10 teams only and top 8 respectively. obviously riot also prioritizes recent results over older ones to shape the 2022 vct circuit. also the what if scenarios are incredibly different, on one hand the best team of a region can't attend and play, later on they also got top 8 in champs so it's more relevant to discuss this one, where the other one is seeded into.

1 confirmed slot with 1 last chance for masters and 2 last chances for champs, big difference.

posted about a year ago

well how do you measure size then? you mention bleed is bigger than DK yet they have only 35k in earnings and like no sponsors. bigetron alone has 2.2 million ig followers if that contributes to size with sponsors like oppo.

i'd say SEA did better than VS last year, 2 teams in playoffs in the most important event of the year. VS made playoffs in berlin but who knows what bren could've done if they got their visas. SEA has 2 confirmed slots, KR 1, with lcq's for APAC N and APAC S. Performance alone doesn't determine slots but i think it does play a factor cause look at the changes made to BR 2 slots when they didn't achieve jackshit.

posted about a year ago

i mean i can name 4 indonesian orgs in valorant that are bigger than dk rn, onic, alter ego, bigetron and rrq. primarily big in mobiles games and have huge funding.

  1. no KR team reached playoffs in champs, could've been 2 slots if damwon won LCQ
  2. top 3 finish, really only had to beat #2 BR and played amazing valorant in the last 2 maps against V1, wp to them
  3. "how many times did SEA make it out of groups with 2 slots"
Rekjavik 2021, no groups and sent only 1 team
Berlin 2021, sent only the second seed with bren unable to attend, and was seeded against 3 solid teams
Champions 2021, sent 2 teams to playoffs
Reykjavik 2022, 2nd seed APAC in groups but barely lost to liquid in a close OT
Copenhagen 2022, lost in close matches in 2 series
The times SEA didn't make it out of groups was the 2nd seed but they were again very close matches
Not to mention, in the most important event KR failed to make playoffs
APAC has so many countries it would make sense for riot to give 2 slots, KR is a single country and probably would've gotten more slots in the vct 2022 circuit if they performed in champs

2 teams reached playoffs in champs?

if the don't check it the only way he gets more than 1 if he lets them go and plays disciplined

i think they would for sure check that angle, he would get 1 max

marved doesn't play viper much but mako is also as good although he shines more on omen imo

posted about a year ago

imo meiy wasn't really comfortable with the flex role but he's a beast on jett and his aim is really good, lammysnax on the other hand is quite underrated with his util. FS almost took breeze from c9 but i doubt that nth would go any futher considering it's their first lan event (as far as i know) and they were really young (besides astell).
