Besides having precise aim as you shoot and click orbs one by one, coming up with effective strategies can help you secure rounds and win games. One of these includes Lurking.

Lurking is a high-risk high-reward tactic, that’s for sure. Ideally, lurking should make the rounds easier for your team. Lurking is when a player chooses to play elsewhere, alone and without his team. A great lurker can catch a rotating defender off-guard and eliminate them, gain information, take more space and help the team make their next decision during the attacking. It may seem to be straightforward, however it’s not as easy as you may.

While a lurker can bring advantages to his teams, doing it wrong may cause you to lose the round as you are essentially baiting them. However, if you’re a beginner, fret not as this guide will help you.

Keep on reading to learn more on how to lurk in Valorant, agents that are good at it and some tips and tricks.

What is Lurking in Valorant
Josh Nissan, also known as "Steel," claims that “Lurking is not so much about getting flanks, it’s about the pressure applied in places to create an opportunity.”

Lurking in Valorant can be a high-stake venture, as the team will lack one member when attempting to take over a site. It is done by completely isolating yourself from your team to put pressure and seek opportunities from unexpected regions in the map. With this tactic, you are basically baiting your whole team; but when done right, it will surely net you valuable information, frags, and even round wins.

sure buddy

posted 5 months ago

liquid couldn't even comfortably win apeks but sure lol

posted 5 months ago

you complain about americas "recycling bots" and then talk shit about a team who looks good with 3/5 of it being young players (mibr)? and having FUT on your top 4 who is the same squad that is always promising and never do shit year after year? lol
Liquid has two of the worse games ive ever seen and is in your top 4 brother rewatch the vods before talking anything lol

posted 5 months ago

i think you just somehow expected too much from the first tournament
yes sen still has a lot to improve (as does most of the teams) but the team has a decent map pool and a lot of resilience
idk how you can watch any game from them and not be excited for what this team can do and i dont even root for sen

posted 5 months ago

it is. theres no decent argument against it lol

posted 5 months ago

wdym 100t and Sen looked decent the entire tournament
nrg still have some work to do but showed some sparks
and youre talking like emea dont have koi and apeks lol

posted 5 months ago

i mean they were clearly getting used to a new gamestyle and team tbh so they run out of gas for kickoff but theyre promising

posted 5 months ago

are you saying a team with LESS and DERKE will disappear internationally?

posted 5 months ago

talking like KC isnt a good team

posted 5 months ago

americas is still the most competitive region

posted 5 months ago

does life even matter? were all gonna die and forget it. it doesnt mean anything. this game doesnt mean anything. yet we keep watching it

posted 5 months ago

lev yeah. loud no

posted 5 months ago

allat

jk
i agree
i go even to say 100t could also be a contender for top 3
theres a clear top 8 who could be anywhere in a good run

just disagree with mibr take
xenom and artzin are two of the best players this kickoff
nzr is making a bad tournament tho

posted 5 months ago

vouch

posted 5 months ago

funniest thing is that hes just a chill guy who really likes to play

posted 5 months ago

the fuck you mean without recon. c0m is pretty much a one trick sova

posted 5 months ago

honestly he shouldn't be playing rn for his own good if this is serious it might just gets worse with him forcing it

posted 5 months ago

yep. first t1 experience for both while also the first tournament igling for artzin and they're already top 3 on what might be the hardest region overall. even if they get 3-0'd by Sen next round i can only see upsides and be excited for this team

posted 5 months ago

flair

posted 5 months ago

only by brain-damaged dementia coma-induced crackheads

posted 5 months ago

that is expected
G2 is a 3 years+ experienced core
MIBR is a new team
Top 3 is already great for them on the long-term

posted 5 months ago

fazer o básico bem feito as vezes ja é o suficiente pra te levar muito longe
kru ta redondinha sim, só precisa trabalhar mais o map pool e algumas rodadas chave

posted 5 months ago

all good just the first tournament
goes up from here

posted 5 months ago

brother trust me kru looks great
this was only the first tournament
a few adjustements and this team will be even better
split 1 looks bright, heads up

posted 5 months ago

good run this team started slow but evolved a lot
really promising lineup good to see
SA will dominate americas split 1 lets fucking go

posted 5 months ago

the difference is that lev had experienced "world class" players while mibr has a young core with 2 americas debutants and one as a new igl. their evolution is much more credible than levs

posted 5 months ago

once again keznit chokes when it matters
who would've thought

posted 5 months ago

another keznit key-game disasterclass

posted 5 months ago

extremely common keznit choke

posted 5 months ago

honestly i was always a mibr believer but even i couldn't predict a top 3 americas on the first tournament tbh that team is going to be mental with more time

posted 5 months ago

nzr legit throwing
