i wonder what is riot’s course of action if an FA team wins the slot, there were FA teams at least both in na and emea in the leagues leading to ascension, if thats allowed i think its unfair that the players cant continue as an FA team. they earned that slot.

players should own the slot at this point, not the org

bruh wtf, is that why some players are allegedly trialing with other teams

posted 7 months ago

hope dgzin still plays in partnered teams, he was a standout player on that team

emea seemed like it had the most roster change among regions, apart from fut, bbl, fnc and navi (cmiiw), the remaining teams fully rebuilt their rosters and just havent clicked. in t2, it’s even worse because of the residency rule and discontinued cis league, big rebuilding of rosters as well.

not the best year overall because franchising is new, per region its kinda the same expected teams who made it far like no chance for the underdogs. but production wise its the best, still made good narratives out of it.

winning 2 consecutive internatl lans is no easy feat. after winning, all teams will be looking at what they do and try to counter them, they have the target on their heads.

blast hosted spike nations in emea, but thats more of charity tournament. idk if there might be conflicts with working with esl/gamers8 considering the ownership, or maybe its just riot having too much control considering lol also dont have much.

turkish scene is pretty good but lacks experienced igl/coaches + language barrier. i do think they will only get better, players are mechanically gifted.

lmao

apart from edg, these are just the top 3 teams on the previous 2 international lans this year.

lmao the build up

its just the same business model as these impression farming pros use lol, respect the hustle

bro this is vlr everything gets exaggerated

posted 8 months ago

emea includes asia (middle east) so yeah emea covers both asia and europe, but its really weird to consider those who have been playing and competing in asia server imports. not their fault they get better ping there.

posted 8 months ago

isnt turkey both asia and europe?

posted 8 months ago

rito script trying their best for americas and pacific by putting emea teams and china teams on same bracket

posted 8 months ago

ye i wonder about that, isnt there some residency rule like youre no longer an import when youve competed in the region for a number of seasons? like how do they classify it, in t1 for example, saya and xeta (+ban) had competed in na mostly but because theyre ethnically korean/korean residents its fine? but a russian who almost exclusively competed in asia is not and is considered an import?

astralis/heroic

nice to see spike nations having offline event, tho hopefully would be a good distribution of pros/semipros this time.

bonkar supremacy

have to remember a few months ago barely anyone paid attention to eg, like literally their yt dont even reach 1k views and their tweets barely get likes. now theyre thriving with impressions pog

posted 8 months ago

wait was it doombros asking? bro is instigating lol

posted 8 months ago

bro he was sentinel main before fnc

posted 8 months ago

would be funny if they get grouped but tbh i dont think thatll happen

posted 8 months ago

nah imports are cringe except something and coaches

posted 8 months ago

matter of preference, if u wanna root for bm go for it, same as those who want to root for the humble guys.

posted 8 months ago

its better than nothing, some people prefer wholesome humble interactions, some prefer villain storytelling, both are better than players just doing nothing. as long as its within context of the game its fine, tho i do find it cringe, its always good when people talk about it.

mainly sponsors, like crypto, betting (esp eu orgs), and some vc money.

if they have side businesses like merch, web content or apps, etc but i dont think they earn a lot from those.

posted 8 months ago

lets go fut!

posted 8 months ago

i see mine is back

posted 8 months ago

historically, emea has not gotten grouped in champs

posted 8 months ago

to me feels like some teams can get away with fielding rosters that arent competitive, no fear of relegation tho since riot owns the slot i wonder about that

posted 8 months ago

well most people are saying that not because of his mechanical skill and fragging ability but because of his stubbornness to igl.

posted 8 months ago

prefer sideshow and bren, they both are hype and give analysis. in the past i really didnt enjoy doug and balla casting, i get confused by what theyre saying and timing was off but they have massively improved so props to them.

posted 8 months ago

ngl would be nice if pacific got the extra slot for representation, its between a jp and ph team, tho id prefer zeta.

posted 8 months ago

his stats arent the problem.

posted 8 months ago

where to find coach saying he wants zeish to igl for lcq? pretty damning ngl

posted 8 months ago

you despise him but isnt it good he’s leaving then? kc can rebuild, just like liquid did.
