that was REALLY not the player i thought they'd drop
did you watch how fnc played at champs lol they only got 4th because DRX choked and they looked so much worse than they did at tokyo
tbh the roster has shuffled around so much from event to event that I feel like they haven't had time to get a really proper foothold yet
maybe that's crazy given how well they've performed but I think their ceiling is a very big question mark
is pulling an nrg just losing to any Chinese team
I actually thought fpx would win out and GenG would get grouped by heretics in the decider game so kind of lol
mid stats internationally? did you watch riens at shanghai?
the thing is, it is a good comp
like they consistently notch very good results with it and they have really strong ideas behind it
gives me similar vibes to the old loud comp on bind
idk to me he's just a guy that is extremely extremely good at flash initiators and played all three meta flash supports on almost every map and then played yoru in pretty much an identical style
he's just a flash initiator main to me, and probably the best in the region at least at it
did we watch the same game? I saw a team who beat one of the best teams in the world on gun rounds regularly, was outdueling some uniquely good aimers, and came to the table with more innovative ways to play the maps they played that clearly had legs
is he a flex? feel like the only thing he flexed that year was yoru lol which he was still applying in a support manner
think he's really just a support initiator given that he played like 80% Skye and like 15% kayo
they got outplayed on gun rounds, only found wins off advantage situations created by winning pure duels or errors from fpx, and probably should have lost all three maps
also not remotely the same flavour of indiscipline
did they? i don't think they played very well at all lol, they largely won the game off of unforced errors rather than any outplays that stood out
so it sounds like they didn't lose because of how well heretics played? good analysis mate
far better, yes
fpx should have won all three maps by virtue of them out playing heretics, and only lost from their own undoing
you mean when fpx outplayed the shit out of heretics the other time? or when they nearly beat the team that won the tournament? or when they put fut down like dogs?
turn your monitor on and maybe you'll figure it out
me when I'm clueless and don't understand anything that happens on my screen
he's still correct, fpx were clearly far better lmao
no it isn't fam lmfaooo any competitor worth anything knows how to shake off shit like that
if you're a high level competitor and you can't harden your mentality you're not a high level competitor
5th best team in americas last year was unquestionably c9
but who tf cares about this idea, the depth of quality in teams does not matter nearly as much as the peaks in quality - at the end of the year, AMER Top 1 >>>> EMEA Top 1 and that's the part that decides who wins the big trophy of the year
mCe has literally said differently since leaving c9
thank god its only national girlfriend day so i can tell my fiancee to go fuck herself
NO HANDOUTS!
famously no team has ever performed well at an international event after a relatively poor league performance and a dropoff from their previous form(do NOT open this link it is strictly unrelated) https://www.vlr.gg/event/2002/champions-tour-2024-pacific-stage-1
obviously excluding the whole baggage(guys trust me it was rp surely) he could have been a good fit in terms of raw agents played, but something to keep in mind is how drastically you have to shift your playstyle between some of these different agents, both in your decision making with your utility and your general behaviour in taking gunfights, etc - honestly not sure if i'd want someone playing both raze and sova in general as a player, that shit really jumbles your tendencies
in terms of realistic roster moves, they'll probably sign either a sova player such as c0m(or just keep crashies and run as that 5) and leave s0m(or maybe D1 after more lengthy practice in the offseason, though i think this is worse) to flex raze, or sign a raze player like jawg and have s0m flex sova
Back from vacationing in France and just finished setting up the $100 easter egg in my syllabus!
most experience requirement listings in most industries are excessive, usually written by people that don't understand the value the experience they're looking for provides, and not something they stick to very strongly
Tokyo fnatic vs Champs EG was a matchup we deserved and never really got tbh
G2 are the fourth best team at the tournament and have the second best chance of winning what are you talking about man
i would require a cleanup on my keyboard if this happens
what does the lower final have to do with it? was it something she specified in her statement?
it is clearly life
decision making on mans is simply not good
they had site with about 30 seconds left, gekko alive, and a clear opportunity to plant
dont say heretics with a sub bro gyattitek might genuinely be top 10 players in the region
starting with this:
they were 1 round away from beating Heretics(forgot to plant spike round 24 to WIN THE MATCH), and 2 off of beating GenG, the two clear and far away best teams at Shanghai
they slowed down form-wise regionally following Shanghai, changed several comps - experimenting, adjusting to patches, or saving strats? i suspect the latter
but if their performance at Shanghai is their current ceiling, this is a team that:
-can very very easily make it out of this group(i personally don't believe they will, but i have them getting revenge for both their games at shanghai in my pickem, mostly because i like them and want it to happen)
-consistently plays very off-meta, high quality comps and in styles unlike any other team in any other region
-most importantly, is well below their potential ceiling given autumn does not fully speak chinese and has berlin translate many of his comms
where do you guys see this roster going this year and potentially next?
sentinels lost to 100t in case you forgot
cauan did not overperform he is just that good
also exactly one of the players you named is a "role player" lmao and it was objectively not his best game of the year, he played much better at shanghai
dumbest shit ive read today
