I personally only want the replay system so we can see insane clips in pro play that we couldn't have seen before, but also I understand that from what they've said Valorant is really hard to implement it into because of how they made the game, so I'm fine waiting for a polished product if it means it takes more time

Any team with an academy team is basically going to have a 2023 EG level scrim partner, where during certain stages (like Masters Tokyo for Americas teams, or Bangkok for Pacific teams), they will be able to antistrat any team in the world by having their academy team run the copied comp as practice for their international events, or even regionally in important matchups like lower finals, and grands.

The list of teams with academy teams:
Amer: SEN, MIBR, 2G, FURIA, LEV
Emea: KC, KOI, LULQUID (fuck you kam0)
Apac: DFM, DRX, GENG, GE, RRQ, T1, TLN, Secret, ZETA

Seems like APAC understands this and is really investing into the teams for that reason + also the normal benefits of just having an academy team to improve rosters, I'd be terrified of T1 with good antistratting with how their roster looked in the offseason

Would look at teams like MIBR and LEV to maybe not be as good early if people don't trust them, but for them to go absolutely nuclear towards later in the season (especially with Demon1 and c0m having done this before and knowing the benefit of the 10 man)
I'd say the same about SEN, but it looks like from scrim leaks that SEN is doing really well in scrims and their problems come during match days in stress, which we'll see if they can get over

KC with an extra roster to scrim i would be TERRIFIED of, with Saadhak and Engh being able to run against whatever comp they want and theorycraft against it

Nowadays, it's been optimized that the adc needs a support in their lane to survive the system, and top laners will normally end up being tanks to support them. Since the tanks dont need help as much as the squishies early, the support goes with them

give me more of broken chamber after having no broken agents for 2 years (neon doesn't count, didn't even happen during an on-season tourney and also it wasn't fun, it just replaced jett and raze on every map which is boring as fuck)

I mean who doesn't love watching a clip of benjy get a 4k on site, or t3xture just fling himself into site and just somehow end up winning a 1v3 entry

I of course loved watching this year, even though I felt the comps were stale because of how insane the teams all were individually, and stale comps let mechanics shine, but I personally love watching teams come up with plans they cooked extremely hard that aren't just one time gimmicks because I love the agent part of valorant just as much as the mechanics part. After a year of the mechanics shining, I do want a bit of chaos in coaches and comps being what wins games, not just that if you aren't playing optimal then eventually you will lose because you're not as good of a "fundamental" team

yeah but it wasn't optimal to play, and although they got some upset wins the comps would not win actual events

i want to see something like the ascent 3riple init comp 1 smokes and chamber again god i yearn for bullshit to be meta

For Pro Play:

Last year, there was no "broken" or busted character, and what ended up happening? Boring ass shit where people run omen on every map but bind where they run brim and do the exact same comps and see who can out optimize each other and I hated watching the comps just be the same stale comps until someone changed a single agent and it was REVOLUTIONARY

ive been saying that we need a broken good agent for every single masters tourney

lockin a little bit and tokyo had harbor viper skye, champs was fine because of the way teams played they all used a variety of different agents to suit their own metas on every map

2024 was just the "balance everything correctly year", and while it was extremely fun in some games, the amount of wacky and weird comps you saw compared to 2023 because of how omen ran everything and jett and raze were completely uncontested other than an occasional yoru made the game feel so stale.

Hopefully 2025 we get some buffs other than just phnx, and maybe end up with crazy stuff like 3 init 1 smoke 1 senti no duelist again, or the harbor stuff prx cooked on ascent
