In case you haven’t noticed, riot isn’t using the defined borders of regions to decide slots. Emea is a region, Brazil is a region, Latam is a region, apac is a region.
Riot does similar promotion for both regions, albeit a little more for na.
But if emea’s best team can’t match the viewership of a mid tier na team, the fault is on the org. You can laugh at viewership for trash na teams all you want but don’t cry about how the na stream will take priority and emea will fall out. Believe it or not the viewers keep the scene alive, not the teams.

there are more tournaments, though. im a sen fan and i hate not being able to see them play, but it's the teams decision to not participate in smaller tournaments.
yeah, more riot hosted events would be great, and more big, international lans would also be awesome, but to act like there isnt an opportunity for teams to play between VCT is wrong. (at least for na, which i assume you care about due to flag+flair)

and yet, both are part of massive businesses where people are employed under a boss (in the pro player's case, the org). in either case, higher ups DO NOT want to be associated to people who say shit like this.
also, saying shit like "ranked in a videogame" is incredibly disingenuous. gaming is the largest part of the entertainment industry, and pro players rely on them to earn a living. simplifying it to "just a game" does not properly represent that these people are dependent on the games to live their lives, much like how you and I rely on our jobs
explain to me how they are different.
pro player = employee
fellow pro player = coworker
valorant players when a for profit company prioritizes profit over something a minority of players will use (only ~20% of cs players use demos, val would not be much different)
