Single elim is fraudulent

If everything was single elim, SEN would’ve lost Madrid, EG lost champs, FPX lost copenhagen, and OpTic lost iceland

Its been proven time and time again that single elim format is bad and double elim rewards the better teams

Think about if all of kick off was single elim

SEN would’ve gotten bounced in round 1

I don’t even think it is because NRG had poor structure

Just think about it, if they had such poor structure how did they push SEN that far.

There were so many beautiful rounds by NRG but the skill of tekken just won out imo

Imo the game vs NRG was a life game because we usually never see a performance like that vs a tier 1 team in a game of that magnitude.

And don’t forget ZEKKEN DID IT TOO

Also most of the games you pulled up were from EONS ago

The fact is that back then it was just easier to outgun people. Nowadays since the franchising era it has become much harder to do that and you literally NEVER see games like that

Open qual games were definitely t2 most of the time

T1 games are valid though.

It is very rare to drop 30 in a game close to the magnitude of NRG vs SEN

If TenZ doesn’t play like that SEN LOSE.

Not denying TenZ’s firepower but what he did vs NRG was different and can’t really be compared with his games vs t2/3 teams

He was also playing a lot of tier 2/tier 3 teams

Don’t get me wrong, those are great games from TenZ but his kills were not the end all be all for SEN’s victories in most of those games.

Point is that there are barely any close games vs good teams where TenZ has had life game/dropped 30.

And think about the fact that we had to deal with zekken doing the same thing

And I know he can outfrag servers. But he did more than just outfrag the server on sunset vs NRG

Good games from TenZ but not life games with 30 kills

30 bombs are extremely rare

TenZ and zekken were both on a heater and dropped 30 vs NRG

He didn’t even drop 30/top frag in most of those game

Well we the only teams we lost to internationally were PRX FNC LOUD and BLG

All besides BLG are literally S tier teams who could challenge for any title

Champs is the only one we got knocked early

We made a deep run at tokyo and lock in

We beat top teams such as DRX, TL and NaVi as well

I only bring up NRG when it is relevant to the conversation

I dont remember but even if I said that it was a completely reasonable take

In hindsight, he was bad, but based on the information we had on yay up until that point also considering the fact that he dominated 2022, it was not a bad take
