Most of these orgs do not need franchising to do well/crumble imo. What most investors look for is a large dedicated fanbase and online presence, which the big orgs will retain regardless of whether or not they are in franchising.

as for m80, what if they don't make it tho? My point is there is a way bigger window of opportunity for growing orgs to make top placements in open qualifier circuits -> more recognition -> more fans-> interested investors.

Sure, riot's implementation of franchising is decent, but it doesn't really present any huge advantage over open quals, and is not necessarily a viable solution to the problem esports is currently facing.

i'd say it's justified to a degree lol. everyone was calling n4rrate a ranked player before he got teleported to challengers, and so far he hasn't been shitting the bed. There is SOME merit to consistent showings in pugs (honestly can't believe i'm saying this lmao), believe it or not.

to be able to consistently keep up with high level pugs where (i assume) most are actively trying to win has to speak to individual capability to some miniscule degree imo (case in point: N4RRATE). Otherwise there is no data to support my statement then, except sarah's stints.
All this is simply postulation based on scarce amounts of evidence anyway. I never implied it was anything else. If they're decent, they will prove it by the end of the year. If they're shit, oh well.

everyone currently on v1 were individual powerhouses in all their respective teams lol. they were all 'dominating' if that's the case

prolly something along those lines. plus meL might not be as great an IGL as she is a player. she's easily clears every gc igl, but against actual teams, not so much.
Individually they can easily keep up with good players, and i think stuff like tarik's Pro City helped me kinda verify that(there is a clear diff btw v1's players and other gc players if u go through vods).
I have high hopes for them tho, as chemistry problems are pretty trivial, and by the end of the year we will see where they truly fall.
