arctic team is playing the vct qual under the name Soldados de Lembo. but yeah it sucks that they invited teams like arctic which didnt have any val team in 2021 instead of case or 19

its not based on nationality. riot chose lvp to do the vrl because they are the biggest organizer from sp,pt&it. lvp chose orgs that they already work with in LoL, thats why no italians nor portuguese

true, sadge riot and lvp fucked up the vrl for portugal and italy. spain has bigger orgs like koi, giants, etc
but i wouldve loved to see SAW, DSYRE or even MKERS. imo instead of 9 invites it should be 6 invites (4 spanish orgs, 1 italian and 1 portuguese) and then open qualifier for the rest. advantage for good portuguese players as u said is that theres another region with same language, but italians can only move around eu sadly
