to be fair i haven't really watched fennel but riddle seem to be dominating japan sooo

I was a big scarz believer last year, but this year bro (and i rarely say this about any team) until I watch MiTH vs FS, Ascension is SPG's tournament to lose. Riddle look good but they don't look on the same level of SPG. I'm not even biased, I especially don't believe in Korean teams compared to other regions.

yeah their comps are good enough to be poached by fucking fnatic, these guys cook in and out of the server

Francis

really hope to see them stick together regardless of ascension, even though all the players are good enough for tier 1 imo

posted about a year ago

crazy part is even though 4/5 of them are so young they play so fucking well on a fundamental level man
like their micro util usage and map movements and awareness are so sharp, it's like GEN.G during kickoff. These guys can all shoot too.

I DEADASS THOUGHT HE'D BE GOOD FOR 1 MAAAYBE 2 BUT GETTING 4 IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS BRO

only 1 tournament left bro
i've been watching ivy dambi and francis since 3 years ago, before they were even allowed to go pro. my duo even played with him way back
so proud of this team

posted about a year ago

T1 should keep xcc i just like him and i think he can do well. or he can go to rrq to replace estrella
stax
izu
hyunmin/stew
persia (if spg dont win asc)
xross/yoman/margaret/freeing/dambi/francis

bro honestly there are so many ppl to pick from

posted about a year ago

SPG don't you dare fucking lose this team has shades of kickoff Gen.G
They have a great understanding of their game down to an individual level, they have smart micro plays, and all 5 of them are fucking shooters.
Xross solo won Bind, but SPG looked like the team with better ideas

i'm korean, have been living in korea for almost half my life, and i deadass first heard about this 4b movement from my american friend reading a twitter post or something

yeah i looked into it and not only is 4b a very very minor thing amongst radicalists, it's also years-old information lol

spreading misinformation is a fuckup, whether intentional or not. especially on an overseas forum where people can't easily access information cleanly. if he was a korean citizen residing in korea he could have easily been sued for defamation.
if he just stuck with the one post bringing attention it's nbd but he continued to update which only made things worse.
vlr is literally known as the overseas forum even in korea. it's probably the biggest online forum to discuss valorant esports, it's not just some "random forum". why do you think kr users were making posts about the geng bullying here?

a user deadass posted that retake gif for the post lol

the near-career ending fuckup was spreading false rumours about flashback. it's flashback's career he could have ended.

aside from the obvious discussion on the controversy...
fun korean memes:

"GEN.G really are a goated team. This would never happen to them" (joke about how GEN.G players aren't exactly kpop idols lol)
"Foxy9 would probably just have played minecraft with his gf"
"Flashback's ex said she didn't want the DMs being leaked because she didn't want to ruin his life" (flashback's ex quickly cut ties with whistleblower since july 3rd i think https://fxtwitter.com/chldkdls2005/status/1816894000617652430)
someone deadass deepfaked Foxy9 onto a Doctor Strange gif and wrote "Don't worry Flashback...I took care of it" lmfao https://imgur.com/jlqPexO
"DRX with the clean retake on twitter as well"

"Hi!"
Bro opened with the most high energy, enthusiastic greeting as he's addressing a near-career ending fuckup.
Might be pedantic from me but I think it sets a bad impression.

EIther way, you seemed to be a nice person while you were here. Sorry to see you go.

how can flashback be a groomer if there's not even a full year difference between them and they were both minors when they began their relationship wtf? like im open to being corrected if im wrong but as i understand it a groomer is someone significantly older in age trying to prepare "groom" a minor into a sexual relationship once they become of legal age, yes?

realistically he is top 2 and it's not even close. depending on karon's perf at champs he may take #1 but if he doesn't play well mako is still top 1. assuming ur taking into account longevity + peak, because the only contenders are marved, karon, and pancada. tenz/demon1 don't really count imo because they flex onto different roles very often.

honestly wish people would focus more on xccurate's documentary than talking about fucking prx bro like goddamn this wasn't a prx thread
but yeah agree, i would have gone braindead too if my team's results got cleared by a team made 6 months ago. love prx but the fans just expect too much sometimes.

Always loved Xccurate. I don't care if his performance on smokes was bad, I still think he's a great fucking player and deserves a good team. I know T1 is probably going full Korean, but I really hope he stays on the team somehow, or he goes to a better team. Phenomenal imo, and I think he's good enough to win a trophy given the right players.

GEN.G winning Shanghai made me so fucking emotional, I'd been supporting Korea, and Asia as a whole, since the game first came out. Back when T1 Korea and C9 Korea existed, back when Vision Strikers was known for the set plays before their winstreak. I was there when we got 3rd at Reykjavik, I was there when we got grouped at Champs. I saw the 5th-6th curse, and I saw it broken. I was a staunch supporter of all Korean teams and talents, and at internationals, I was eager to support any Asian team that qualified. I thought Madrid could have been it, but GEN.G ran out of steam, and it was another bitter loss. But I remained faithful to the main team I'd been supporting since Partnership was announced. And finally, after almost 4 years, I finally saw Korea, and Asia, get to lift their first ever trophy in Valorant history. Cherry on top was Meteor being able to win as well.
But.
PRX losing Champs 2023 was heartbreaking, I still get emotional when I think of the photos that surfaced after the loss, seeing Jinggg, f0rsakeN, seeing Alecks like that...it broke my heart. I really hope they win a trophy befitting of their reputation.
Same for when DRX lost Stage 2. DRX were the first ever Korean team I'd supported, and I relegated them in favour of GEN.G during 2023. I thought I'd be bitter enough to not care what happened to them as long as they maintained a good performance...but when I watched Stage 2 grand finals, I wanted them to win so fucking badly over GEN.G. I've never seen BuZz so desperate for a win. And it crushed me when he didn't get it, yet again.

That and the twitter account of the person who posted the allegations is an avid Valorant fan as she retweets something's tweets and talks about Valorant semi regularly.

posted about a year ago

They phased out Rb and Zest before the year started, Stax is the only one with somewhat recent information on DRX's protocols. Moreover, Abyss was added as well.

posted about a year ago

Ifl their existing system is different from old DRX tho

Stew and Hyunmin are duelist mains but BuZz can flex to all roles, Stew doesn't need to be bought out to be a sub because both Stew and Hyunmin's years are done.

posted about a year ago

can't get k1Ng sadly, he's doing his community service and isn't allowed to be employed.

Stax, Rb, and Zest are possible sure but honestly I'd like to see them pick up a new face. It's not like Termi didn't kick the former 3 for a reason anyway - I doubt he'd call them back if he has options.

posted about a year ago

weird as hell bro if u made a careless & thoughtless joke just apologise for it why are u doubling down

posted about a year ago

There's more than enough talent to replace this 5th.
Stew, Hyunmin, D H, Freeing, Persia, Dambi, Margaret, Francis, etc. you name a role there will be someone to fill it and do just as well if not better mechanically speaking. The only question is how quickly they can integrate themselves in the team.

posted about a year ago

His name has appeared in this thread. It's the only name circulating in Korean forums as well. By this point there are enough clues to figure it out for yourself, and it's one of the rookies from this year.

posted about a year ago

If it is who I've been hearing it is, I'm really disappointed. And ashamed.
