on the other hand I don't want them to have dropped Derke with no consequences
Sure maybe he knew things weren't going well but it's an injustice to him because of the fact that he was dropped with no warning. The least they could've done is say: 'Hey things aren't going well, we'll see how it goes at redbull and go from there'. So at least he would've had a chance to keep his options open. Leading him to believe that he was secured for the 2027 contract is just scummy
Instead what happened was 'Yeah the season is starting in a month and most teams are locked in, we didn't really like how things were going before and during redbull so good luck'
