I want them to do well
but I also want the funny
hard choice
some teams do applications when a spot opens up
otherwise I'd try maybe to start with a premier team / other tier 3-4 talent since you'll likely only get hired if you have experience
also as others have mentioned its very important to document and advertise your achievements, you have to market yourself
hmm
as their moral support coach ima have to say The Cloudberries
they were the 4th highest in bundle sales
plus they made it to champs so they got a cut from the champs bundle
I think they're probably fine financially rn
its battle royal was good a few years ago
me and my friends stopped playing when they started to add crazy over the top stuff like aeroplanes
i havent really played it since besides a game here and there for old times sake
it seems like they're sort of trying to become a platform for games now
this ballistic stuff seems like a cool idea, I really really like the theory behind the util (everyone gets the ability to buy a standard smoke and flash like CS, but you can get one extra ability from your class/agent).
on a linear spectrum between CS and OW this would be pretty much the opposite of val, and ngl I really like that in theory (val is still executed better though imo)
thats kinda unclear so i made a crude illustration https://i.imgur.com/5kSCiG4.png
I'd like to see val move more towards the CS side of things tbh, it feels like with each new agent/map it moves further and further away from being a tac shooter
had my first full game
its pretty alright
the skins are goofy and the movement is ass
the shooting isnt bad, but the gun models are HUGE for some reason
oh wow
EMEA also doesn't have many teams
edit: also PRX are the one partnered team in APAC who didn't sign a team π they'd be one of the most interesting ones imo
yeah I tried but #7 was my experience pretty much
yeah
5v5 tac shooter, with 1 unique ability per player
yeah exactly, by round 3 it was a 2v0 and all me and some random had to do was plant and wait
yeah, early access i think but anyone can play it
anyone tried it?
is it any good?
I tried playing but everyone just disconnects
voila, not even 24 hours later they sign crashies
if only you ulted in that 2v1
alright i take back what i said about you being a fraud
well done
i guess the optic vs loud rivalry lives on in one way or another
you fraud you never continued the connections
i thought you had finally changed for the good
I was talking about this yesterday, but I really thought fnatic could use a reliable second caller with more experience. So this change might actually benefit them
misclick (meant to reply to capital_d_colon)
ok so it just wont let me reply to him cool, see below
its happening earlier than I thought
not even someone like you could actually believe this π€£
I think he's got the drive and potential to go far still, even after a lot of people continue to doubt him from last years performance
but I miss Leo :( I hope he recovers fast
am i* (just woke up)
to have faith in crashies
I was watching his stream a few weeks ago and he really seems like he's got it in him to compete
but who knows, all I know is that I miss Leo
WAIT WTF HAPPENED I OVERSLEPT
sign up to vcc buddy
(I think vcc NA is dead anyway)
unfortunately
The Cloudberries are now:
nah
would be funnier if they lose to RL then get elimed by BLG
I reckon we'll see some experimentation with Yoru
Tbf I worded that quite badly now that I look back at it
It's defo nowhere near their 2023 level
I meant it more so relative to their 2024 performance whilst also considering that they had hiro (good, but not Leo) as a sub.
Icy did struggle in map 1 I'll concede, but I think map 2 kind of proved that their overall teamplay was higher at the time (I believe this is when fnatic peaked in 2024) Even in the SEN game I feel like they played relatively well. The first two maps were pretty close and (maybe I'm biased) it feels like they lost to themselves more so than only losing to the enemy
unfortunately I queued a ranked game π
woah
very nice post, I disagree with a few small things here and there but I think overall this is very good
I mentioned his personality and online presence in another post (my last comment before this) but I want to clarify I don't think it's exclusively that, although it is a big factor.
I think the biggest thing that doesn't get mentioned enough (that you also mentioned) is the dynamic between mini and Boaster, I think they fit perfectly together. We even saw fnatic playing exceptionally well at Champs when he came back for Seoul. I don't think elma is specifically bad, it's just that idk if he belongs on a 'superteam'. I had doubts after his stint on GENG but if I'm being brutally honest FNC 2024 kind of proved my fears right unfortunately. No hate to elma as a person at all, I think he's pretty cool. But I think if things don't go well I really hope management is open to a coaching change.
As much as I would like for it to happen, it's currently looking unlikely that mini will return as a HC. But I think there are a few high quality coaches who'd be suitable
I'm obv biased so take what I say with a grain of salt
You're right, I think he's overhated because people don't like his personality (it's valid if you don't like it, ofc you're entitled to that opinion) but that blindsides people from his actual merits as an IGL. It's made worse by the fact that he can't frag as heavily, but his mechanics aren't even that bad (Platoon has a great video on his mechanics) it's just that they're outshone by the superstars on the rest of the team.
I think the best comparison to make is with FNS, he has a personality which more people find appealing, yet he has many of the same qualities as a player as Boaster (this isn't a bad thing, I like FNS too) but he gets nowhere near close to the amount of flack that Boaster gets
With that said, I do think something needs to change with his gameplay, it feels like he's very timid when it comes to his own plays due to his micromanaging IGL style. I think they need to lean more in to having a second caller (Leo/Chronicle) so Boaster can be more in tune with what's in front of him. Although this last bit could be complete gibberish since I don't know the internal team dynamics
vlr community cup is sorta close to that
