I honestly like split despite it being super ct sided. Maybe its because of the designs around the map that make it more colorful. Something about the map is just nice to play on.

I have so much more confidence in this map as opposed to breeze and bind.

Valorant won't have an established league or franchising till after Champions (at the very quickest).

I remember that match. It was heartbreaking for a TSM fan because they actually threw the 9-3 lead by forcing up every round essentially.

Overrated: Ramen; anime overhypes how good ramen really is. It's a good noodle dish definitely, but there are far better versions from similar east asian culinary.

Underrated: Pho maybe or Chinese mapo tofu/dougan; Pho is really good noodle dish but tedious as crap because of how the soup is made. As for Chinese tofu and dougan, I find it weird that it isn't as popular as it should be considering how simple it is yet flavors that never fail to surprise me.

Edit: I also think that Bubble Tea is incredibly overrated. It's a great drink originating from my home country, but I think westeners inflate how great this drink really tastes. Sure there are variations to it, but it really isn't anything spectacular in my honest opinion.

You know Vietnamese cusine derives from Chinese influence right? You are basically insulting your own lineage with that sort of statement.

As for factual correctness, no people do not normally eat dogs; it's a 1/10 chance you find someone who eats dogs. Homeless people on the street resort to eating dogs and slaughtering them because that is all there is to eat. Culturally, it is very uncommon to find this sort of habit of eating dogs.

I might be of taiwanese descent, but your statement is incorrect on many levels.

I was hoping for it to be NYC considering the stadiums here and how much attraction it would get in arguably the most well known city in the world.

Plus yk, fortnite world cup was in NY so yeah....

Steel/aproto - Sentinel/IGL
Nitr0/vanity - Controller
Cned/wardell - Awper (Despite TSM's results, I genuinely believe that Wardell's AWP is still top tier, all bias out of the way)
TenZ/Cned - Duelist
Sinatraa - Sova

It's fine but I'll likely never use a chinese character username in the foreseeable future.

Rara, AZK, Psalm, and Jammyz (dunno why this guy was not signed) are what comes to mind.

posted about 2 years ago

Sean Gares doesn't plan on signing with any org because he's just starting a family and prefers to be a bit more laid back in the gaming side of things (streaming + casting). Becoming a coach would take up majority of his time even though he probably would be a really good coach. I think he was an analyst for c9 at one point or something.

Nitr0 is probably the best smoke player NA except he's never played Astra before nor does Astra suit his playstyle on omen at all. Maybe vanity for astra? Not sure.

posted about 2 years ago

Bro I literally got harassed to no end for making my username out of Chinese Characters (or Japanese Kanji).

It was utterly garbage to see how many racist remarks were thrown at me for having a Chinese character name. Changed my username back to my original one eventually but the experience sucked badly.

For voice coms, not too sure how bad that would be. I had a guy with an Indian accent on my team and no one really said anything + I'm friends with a crap load of Indian people so I kinda got used to the traditional "auntie" accent.

Hold isn't faster because there is no such thing as ADS for the AWP. Hold is faster for rifle adsing and just superior overall.

For the awp, hold is just preference based. There is no inherent advantage with it.

I thought freakazoid was pretty average but it's still a bit odd to see him completely out of the competitive scene (more or less) despite being a free agent for such a long time

US, Canada, and probably KR. EU teams are great but most are multi-national so I'm not sure which country stands out the most.

UK? Why UK?

posted about 2 years ago

I don't think I spammed, but I got one star taken off like a month ago. Are there any other reasons? Downfrags maybe?

posted about 2 years ago

A 1350 into UCB is extremely....lucky I guess? Considering the average SAT score over there, you would need at least a 1450+ with a 3.8+ gpa and good ec's.

posted about 2 years ago

Why autimatic? He's a really solid player despite T1 not having much results.

posted about 2 years ago

Didn't they exposed even further like yesterday? Kay got exposed a second time + other faze members I think.

posted about 2 years ago

I mean, Crazy Racoons is already an international roster technically. They have two korean players and three japanese.

A lot of the EU scene already has players from varying backgrounds. If you meant transcontinental then that changes everything.

With respect to that, I'd say C9 or T1. It's a hunch and nothing really serious.

When tex was first signed, casters and analysts were talking about his impact as a player.

posted about 2 years ago

On paper they should have a top 3 roster definitely but it didn't translate probably because of an igl switch.

They have a top 2 omen with s0m, top 4 phoenix with android, tex is average imo (he's a bit overhyped), wedid is a great controller and igl, and eeiu is decent all around.

Really sucks for them to lose to ez5 but I'm sure they'll come out on top again.

posted about 2 years ago

Aproto would be a very good igl and sentinel. Not sure if yaboidre would be a good pickup at all honestly.

G2 tried it I think but Mixwell wanted to stay on jett

I think what people mean by "ranked warriors" dominating was just referring to undiscovered talent finally surfacing because they've only ever played ranked.

Dota is just known to give the largest sums of money in tournaments and valve thinks that chucking money into the system will save the esport.

Not that dota 2 is necessarily dead, but it's far less structured.

It's worse in NYC I can guarantee you that. I haven't seen a city as bad as NYC in those respective areas.

Don't take it wrong though, NYC is a great place overall but its cons are really killing some of the vibes.

posted about 2 years ago

yoo same except NYC is dirty asf and subways are dangerous: you find people selling you shit + people charging you for their singing.

TenZ on raze is outclassed by so many more people.

posted about 2 years ago

Even though Ethos isn't a pro, he's pretty good at yoru.

posted about 2 years ago

Dicey is really funny as a streamer. Subroza's streams are pretty good. I kinda lost interest in watwching wardell's stream. Sinatraa's stream is pretty fun to watch, especially when datboyjaywon shows up.

posted about 2 years ago

Skye is far better as her flashes are so versatile. You can bait with her flashes and you can also flash from many more angles that you couldn't have with breach. Plus, viper's wall hurts breach far more than skye.

posted about 2 years ago

I think that kay/o will be used less than what people had initially expected. He is definitely a great character but I think people overhyped him in the end since his abilities seem to be only really great on split and ascent; every other map is just about average in my opinion.

posted about 2 years ago

Phoenix pickrate is already down pretty low since duelists like him have virtually no place in the meta. Jett and raze are far better plus they can be complimented with a skye or breech.

posted about 2 years ago

Idk, it was fun during that era because it wasn't Sentinels domination. TSM v Sentinels rivalry existed, upcoming teams like 100t and Envy were showing up. T1 recently picked up Dazed and became ibuypower 2.0 and GenG having a crazy duelist (at the time) with Shawn. It was more competitive I guess if that makes any sense because it wasn't a one sided victory.

I honestly thought that they didn't really face any big teams to get their way to Masters 2. Like neither of them played Acend or Heretics to get to where they were.

Granted, TL and FNC were still phenomenal teams so it's not like they didn't earn their spot in the end.

posted about 2 years ago

Well when it was Sen vs TSM, it was still decently "toxic" but it was respectable since both teams were rivals with one another. Nowadays, its just bandwagons from TenZ's side.

posted about 2 years ago

Sinatraa is already the top 2 best paid valorant players. I don't think TSM would offer him anything higher at the current moment unless they go into a full rebuild mode centering around Wardell.

posted about 2 years ago

Bro, it'll be the same thing all over again. EU fans can be as toxic as NA fans and vice versa.

posted about 2 years ago

I can understand that to an extent.

Watching your favorite player become a streamer because of his lackluster situation with his team, but jumping when the opportunity arises.

It's not his fault that he jumped at the offer since anyone would. But from a fan's perspective, I can certainly empathize with that.

Get a smurf of your own, queue with 1 or 2 ppl, get better, or just get really lucky with bad opponents and good teammates.

I watched since the beginning so around the time Twitch Rivals for Valorant or even slightly before that. Watching Wardell and Drone helped me improve at the game and at the time, they were the best this game could offer in terms of how to play a duelist.
