why are we talking about Steph Curry i thought this was a valorant forum ?

posted 7 months ago

apparently that one guy who said they were selling their roster was capping off his gourd

the CEO of Zeta, a manager, and a coach all subtweeted or quote about the guy having 0 clue about what was going on

"man's just guessing moment"

brother I have realized the error in my was KC definitely had a very good crowd

apologies

it makes sense for a football crowd but even in other sports like the nba there's usually cheering for both teams. Of course if its like a PSG home game i expect there to be a large bias.

But its not football its valorant, two veryyy different things

(I watch and formerly played sports before health problems btw)

makes sense

tokyo by far was the best crowd event for val this year, crowd showed up to all matches and cheered a decent amount for all teams and good val

every time brazil or french crowd loses a round its dead silent

posted 7 months ago

damn where did karmine get all these fans from other esports?

my question is who tf is playing for kcorp they dropped their whole roster and i doubt the old one is gonna play right?

EG can void the ongoing contracts of their players any time they want

I'm pretty sure most of them have ongoing contracts so the only way they would likely be able to keep their jobs is agreeing to a redraft of their existing contracts or writing a new one.

Ngl it might be the second scummiest thing that an org has done this year other than The Guard.

(also the players would most likely be placed on the bench if they don't agree meaning they're restricted and most likely earning less money or none at all while they're on the bench due to how the clauses for benched players are in contracts.)

its a sgares clip so slasher wont get any money but i get what you're saying I don't want to have to listen to that guys voice at all LOL

he actually is a really good defense side caller from the setups ive seen back during the xset days, didn't watch much of GE this year but I doubt he would have gotten worse

Definitely a good pickup for tier 1 or a tier 2 team looking to win ascension.

thats when they were owned by immortals, Hecz bought it back after he saw how much they were desecrating his org he built from the ground up.

insani will be the best Brazilian player to come out of the region within the next 1-2 years

The guard as an organization has 10 people on staff long before they won ascension

they're literally about to go bankrupt and leave esports entirely

so all the conspiracy theorizing you're doing right now means jack shit for this situation

posted 8 months ago

TGRD released all the contracts and gave severance pay already so Leo just decided to fuck everyones day up

posted 8 months ago

No it doesn't The Guard as an organization is going bankrupt, they have all but 10 people as staff and will likely withdraw from the OWL and CDL this year as well.

They also just ended the contracts of everyone on the Valorant team and gave them severance pay, the reason they didn't sign the league participation form is because they knew they were going bankrupt and would have to close.

THE GUARD have nothing to sell to anyone not contracts or the slot.

posted 8 months ago

LETS PREFACE THIS FOR THE GUY WHO DOESNT UNDERSTAND HIS OWN ESPORTS ECOSYSTEM, THE GUARD DOES NOT OWN THE SPOT RIOT DOES, THE GUARD CANNOT SELL THE SPOT AND HAVE NO INTENTION TO DO SO.

THE PLAYERS ARE NOW ALL TEAMLESS AFTER WINNING AND THE ENTIRE LEAGUE SUFFERS FROM LESS COMPETITION.

NICE JOB YOU ABSOLUTE GRAPE BRAIN
PLEASE RESIGN FROM YOUR JOB AND NEVER COME BACK.

i like the story of how EG became the most hated on and shitted on team, with no one thinking at all they could potentially win champs at the start of the year.

But all the PRX players definitely deserve a trophy and it would give APAC its first.

Both storylines are cool and if either one happens im totally down for them.

tbh I think the actual "skill gap" people claim is their for tier 1 and 2 in both games is really just lack of experience and confidence playing in a highly competitive environment.

A lot of the tier 1 and tier 2 teams in both CS and Val are pretty similar in actual skill level, but the prep time and experience is what makes the difference
