yeah, i think this is the first event where 1 seeds feel like 1 seeds and don't get upsetted. obviously the game is still going but so far that is what it is looking like.

This is a good debate, im glad you brought them up. Prime FNC were definitely dominant, but i wouldn't call them "perfect". You have to keep in mind how mechanically gifted all those players are. Their gameplan and midrounding was sometimes really bad, evident at champions against DRX when they got 13-1'd on their own map pick. And of course losing to loud twice. They also relied heavily on heroics and clutches, and often got bailed out from leo, alfajer, and derke. Regionally sometimes chronicle as well. With EG, there was no such thing, sure demon1 was incredible mechnically, but there was always purpose and never accidental.

Well, they were the closest to perfect you could get.

Eh i don't think 2 wrongs makes a right. You dont want to get accustomed to stream sniping because then you'll start using it as a bail out even when you're not against a smurf.

Also playing against a smurf is a good learning experience, analyze how they play because it's not just aim that they have. I haven't played in low elo for years but unless they are immo+ then they are definitely beatable.

stream sniping is kinda messed up. also it doesn't feel as good when you win unfairly. compare that to winning through nothing but your own skills.

This narrative does apply to some players, not all of them tho.

You shouldn't underestimate the new drx, they are quite good. But tbh it's not a hot take that the old sen would have performed better. I would take Tenz over bang. And n4rrate should be better than sacy on paper but he hasn't been playing that way. Most importantly tho, that sen team had way more chemistry and played like a single unit. This sen team feels more disconnected so far.

I didn't watch the game live but it looks like TL's map pool is a bit of a problem. I think they are a good team but they perma ban lotus a lot even though their pearl looks like a glaring weakness. They are going to have to get better at one of them because it looks like in any series the opposition is guaranteed to win at least one map.
