Someone put this fucking demon on a Tier 1 mens team I promise she holds it down better than at least 40% of the current players.

Pro sports have All-League teams like NBA has All-NBA and NFL has All-Pro. Here is my Masters 1 teams. Based on individual impact as well as how well the team did. Tried my best to do it by roles but some people flex so many diff roles it was a bit difficult.

All-Masters 1st Team
Jett/Op - OpTic yay
Sentinel - Zeta Laz
Controller - OpTic Marved
Sova + Flex - Loud Sacy
Flex - PRX Jinggg
Coach - OpTic Chet

All-Masters 2nd Team
Jett/Op - Loud aspas
Sentinel - OpTic FNS (IGLing)
Controller - Zeta SugarZ3ro
Sova + Flex - OpTic crashies
Flex - OpTic Victor
Coach - Loud bzkA

All-Masters 3rd Team
Jett/Op - PRX f0rsakeN
Sentinel - Liquid Nivera
Controller - DRX MaKo
Sova + Flex - Liquid Jamppi
Flex - Zeta TENNN
Coach - Zeta XQQ

Honorable Mention: Loud pANcada, XIA sScary, Guard Sayaplayer, Liquid ScreaM, DRX BuZz

Much respect to Loud for making grand finals for Brazil and beating OpTic the first time. They are good.

But OpTic 6-0 in back2back Bo5s after getting sent to the lowers is amazing.

GGs WP. Everyone on that team deserves MVP.

So many braindead comments about his aim. WHO CARES. 2 grand finals out of 3 internationals. So many rounds won off of his mid-rounding. The guy wouldn't have lasted 10 years in CS/VAL as one of the scene's best IGL's if he was as much of a weight as you guys think. Yes, his aim is not good. But the calls and the confidence he puts in his team as well as his plays to open up his teammates (ex. Victor on Neon) has made Envy/OpTic the most consistent team in NA since beta. PUT SOME RESPECT ON THE MANS NAME.

I just don't see them winning Breeze. Who knows maybe they will pull out another Victor Neon LMAO

Very well played by both teams Map 1. I was scared for a while there on that comeback. But I said OpTic needs 1 of Ascent or Bind to have a chance this series, and they stole Ascent. They have the advantage on Bind so if they can secure that then it's looking really good.

wasn't complaining about the advantage it is quite fair, just pointing out OpTic's difficulties

and fracture and split (both neon comps) vetoed that sucks

posted about 2 years ago

Holy shit the map pool is looking bad for OpTic

Ascent - Loud advantage
Bind - OpTic advantage
Breeze - Loud
Icebox - 50/50
Haven - OpTic advantage

If OpTic drop bind its a 3-0. They need 1 if not both of the first 2 maps

OpTic are the worst team at masters by far. C9 should have been here instead of them. They got lucky in NA and they are on a fluke run now. FNS sucks, he is worse than Zombs and they should drop him. Victor running cringe neon just gimmicking past teams. Chet is a horrible coach who makes teams worse. Crashies and Marved get lucky otherwise they are just bad. Yay and friends these guys don't deserve to be in the Grand Finals.

Loud will absolutely destroy OpTic 3-0 13-2 13-3 13-1. It won't even be close. NA sucks, OpTic sucks. Might as well just call it for loud now. GGs WP.

  2. ZETA Cinderella run - fan favorite
  3. Paper Rex playstyle
  4. Brazil (Loud) dominance
  5. A lot of upsets
  6. APAC
  7. Banger matches
  8. Really entertaining grand finals ahead - Loud vs OpTic

To start off, a lot of delusional vlr kids calling OpTic's run a fluke. This is their 2nd GF run in 3 LAN appearances and they went to lower bracket twice and have played some of the most matches which allows the most vods to review. Not sure how it's a fluke.

Now for OpTic vs Loud, I think it will be very different than the first meeting. Loud was absolutely insane that match and showed what they can do. However, I think OpTic really threw Ascent and Icebox (Pancada 3v1 and Marved 1v1 come to mind). In a Bo5, it's also gonna be way different. Let's say Loud bans Split and OpTic bans Breeze like last time. That leaves Haven, Fracture, Bind, Ascent, Icebox. Fracture, Ascent and Icebox we saw. Ascent and Icebox could go either way but Fracture was a domination. Haven will be interesting, OpTic got off to a bad start today on it but Loud got killed by Liquid on that map. I don't think Loud has the Map pool in their disposal to go the distance with OpTic. With that in mind, I'm picking OpTic 3-1. Truly depends on the maps in my eyes tho, because the teams are so evenly matched.

Players Ranked:

  1. Yay - Aspas
  2. Less - Marved
  3. Sacy
  4. Pancada - Victor
  5. Crashies
  6. Saadhak
  7. FNS

theres no proof for fpx being the "best in the world". Loud absolutely slammed G2 and fpx match vs G2 was way closer. And FPX could have performed differently on LAN. You're inhaling copium if u think FPX Gambit G2 would've performed drastically different than G2 Liquid Fnatic. Also, NA's "1 seed/best team" went 0-2 but the "2 seed/worse team" is in the GF. Best team wins, and EU is below Brazil/NA/Asia this tourney sadly

also, what makes u put fns above crow?

yeah u could be right. I didn't pay too much attention during the Loud match vs G2 since it was a stomp so I'm a little bit skewed in that regard. Just going off stats ig lol mb

although, i like ur list as well and if we're going by characters, TENNN on raze is like top 5 and on anything else he's a bit lower. So that adds a little bit of flexibility to the list as well.

posted about 2 years ago

saadhak too high jinggg and benkai too low imo. keep in mind game impact only

posted about 2 years ago

I think he's an unbelievable space taker and creator of action, but I can see the other argument as well. Sugarzero is insane, I think a lot of these guys could be listed in tiers too

posted about 2 years ago

who of the top 5 is sugarzero better than?

posted about 2 years ago

Recency bias and watching less of Brazil probably lol. Also a lot of them can be considered on the same tier just for the sake of a list I put it in number order

posted about 2 years ago

Based solely off physical in game impact, not taking into account IGLing, comms, etc

  1. OpTic yay
  2. Loud aspas
  3. PRX f0rsakeN
  4. Loud Sacy
  5. Zeta Sugarzero
  6. OpTic Victor
  7. PRX Jinggg
  8. OpTic Marved
  9. Zeta Laz

I think PRX has the ability to smash Zeta. Will they? IDK. Neither of these teams have any pressure, PRX even said it themselves they didn't think they would get this far and Zeta obviously on a crazy underdog run right now. Zeta is a very strong anti-strat team, on Icebox they knew DRX was playing for post plant and they got so many rounds off of denying the plant. So I think they are going to work a lot on anti-stratting PRX, but in my eyes its harder to anti strat PRX's style. I think PRX might be able to adapt better with their chaos, and we saw yesterday they are never out because they can take back defense side so agressively. Also, Zeta has played 6 matches, revealing a lot of their strats for PRX to study. I think PRX take it 2-1 (13-8, 10-13, 13-10)

OpTic vs Loud will be very interesting. IDK much about Brazil, but wow Loud kill the competition. 5-0 against NiP in challengers and it wasn't even close against G2. aspas can take over the series, and I think he will. They are an incredible team and they're gonna have an idea of what OpTic wants to do. However, OpTic won't go away easily and they thrive in the mid round. FNS is a great mid round caller and he will figure out a way to neutralize aspas (yay diff?). I also want to see Haven, Loud got demolished and OpTic looked strong on Haven. Also, I think on stage might play an effect. So far, Loud has played both their matches in rooms, and we know OpTic plays a huge mental game with yelling and everything. With 3 rookies, idk how Loud will react mentally if they go down, so that's something to watch. I think its 2-1 either way, but I'm leaning towards Loud 2-1 (13-10, 12-14, 13-9)

I think when many people rank regions they only rank based off of the teams at LAN but in my eyes it should be based on the region as a whole. Feel free to discuss/argue below.

At full strength:

EMEA (FPX/Fanatic/Gambit got fucked over and Liquid just in an identity crisis rn. Still, it can't be ignored that they have qualified for all 3 international Grand Finals and won 2. And Champs was EMEA vs EMEA. I think EMEA at full strength is the strongest region for sure)
BR = NA (This one might be confusing for people, but here is my reasoning. BR's best representative, Loud, is very strong probably top 1,2,3 in the world. But NA as a region has stronger teams on average. In Brazil, Loud 5-0 their 2nd rep NiP and didn't lose like any maps. No one even came close to competing with Loud and NiP looked bad at Masters imo. But for NA, OpTic Guard C9 V1 and new SEN can all qualify and make waves internationally. Also, prime SEN was unmatched so historically NA is up there and OpTic 2nd and top 3 now. So Brazil has stronger 1 rep now, but as a region as a whole NA is better so they are tied for 2nd)
KR >= JPN >= SEA (Similar to above, KR has better competition [ONS 2-0 DRX] and but Zeta looks insane rn on their cinderella run. Also, Xerxia could've made a run in my eyes and PRX looks good. But Korea is slightly above JPN and JPN slightly above SEA, but they are all similar)
LATAM (KRU fluke run at champs, everyone else sucks, NiP 3-0 Leviatan, they've had one rep for every event and they sucked at this masters)

I was right about today's predictions (OpTic 2-1 DRX / Loud 2-0 G2) I'm from the future
The rest of the way is this:

DRX 2-1 Zeta
PRX 2-1 G2
Loud 2-1 OpTic

PRX 2-1 DRX

OpTic 2-0 PRX

OpTic 3-2 Loud
