I think XLG's choice might be to put viva in the flash, or to find another Chinese player who can speak English

posted 2 months ago

It's actually hard, China is playing the national tournament right now, you can understand it as China's T2, all the better players are preparing or competing to get an advantage in the promotion tournament, it's hard for me to think of what kind of players XLG can find to save the game

posted 2 months ago

According to some of the things I know, XLG's backup has always been Martin, but Martin has a very serious back injury, his spine is deformed, and he can't sit for long periods of time, I don't know the details and if he can afford to fly from China to Toronto.

XLG has just issued an announcement, announcing that all YOU competitions will be suspended from May 18, China time, and suspended without pay for investigation

YOU was found by Chinese fans to have played match-fixing during the CSGO period, cheating and banned four accounts (yes, four accounts) by Faceti and posted discriminatory language on steam, plus he had already been banned once in 2020. This has left the Chinese audience unhappy and questioning some of the players who have switched Valorant from CSGO. According to unreliable sources, CN's league will begin a re-investigation of all players

From a capital point of view, I don't think the current 12 VCTCN teams (including drg and xlg, especially xlg) will be removed from the VCT ranks, but I think some teams may be less interested in Valorant, such as AG. IG is one of the most popular clubs in China, but their new capitalists seem to be only interested in League of Legends, especially one of their management, and has made a lot of unbelievable statements.

posted 2 months ago

WBG has formed teams twice in the past, but after the establishment of VCTCN, one of their managers once posted, "The game is great, but unfortunately, it was ruined by the domestic servers," and then Kangkang won the championship.

posted 2 months ago

Tencent and the Chinese government won't give the Falcons too many opportunities. Even if they really have a spot in lol, they won't give it to val, simply because Tencent is really troubled by the mess that RNG has caused.

posted 2 months ago

Behind tec is a large traditional sports newspaper in China, and it is much wealthier than you might imagine. AG's current plan is to globalize, having established more branches. LGD is on the verge of bankruptcy and is now being kept afloat by the Hangzhou government, while the Hangzhou government's new favorite seems to be BLG. IG will only focus on LOL. If IG fails to qualify for the world championship, future investments will be reduced.

posted 2 months ago

They are still in the LPL; LPL just currently doesn't have RA, but there are widespread rumors that the next to exit will be RNG, which will be taken over by Falcon.

posted 2 months ago

It is better to say that the boss of RA feels there is no profit to be made in League of Legends, and their manager once spoke extremely rudely on the competition stage with phrases like 'can fight Continue fight cannot fight quick game' Ultimately, the reason given by Tencent was 'buying back the slot,' leading to RA's exit from League of Legends.

posted 2 months ago

Sorry, I forgot a club, it's called Up, or I can say his onther name Guangzhou Charge.

posted 2 months ago

In fact, both LGD and RNG are on the brink of bankruptcy, and RNG were salary scandals during the first review in 2024. WBG has formed teams twice in the past, but after the establishment of VCTCN, one of their managers once posted, "The game is great, but unfortunately, it was ruined by the domestic servers," and then Kangkang won the championship.
I think I'll pay more attention to this promotion tournament, as the enthusiasm of many teams is being drained. Regarding what kind of collaborators I think will emerge in the future, perhaps a vertical-screen live-streaming platform may invest in a team, as vertical video platforms (like TikTok) are very keen on acquiring the broadcasting rights for competitions. Although TikTok has not directly invested in any clubs, I believe it may be possible in the future. Additionally, some teams that show a friendly interest in China, like mouz, might be very interested in testing the waters in China. The only other team left might be KBG (Keep Best Gaming), which is backed by a Chinese real estate company, or RW (Rogue Warriors Esports Club), although they currently have no PC gaming projects, their backing capital is ROG. TES also has huge financial backing, but it's unclear how much interest they have in VALORANT.

posted 2 months ago

This is true, RNG has already been sued by people in LOL more than once. Previously, Tencent Sports did not force RNG to delist like RA due to RNG's fame, but RNG still owes salaries. In the future, RNG may really disappear in China.

posted 2 months ago

I think the Wolves will be a show of spring and juice, and maybe Yuicaw will also be in the lineup. I don't have much hope for BLG anymore; it's just about proving to the world that nephh as an IGL will be better and giving the BLG management a solid reason to replace Levius. (In fact, blg also seems to intend to replace Levius, as their youth training team, which will turn 18 in September, has begun transitioning from dulist to Sentinels.)
and i need to say This stage 1 is the most confusing one for me; I believe all the teams currently have flaws, and there isn't a team that truly looks like a champion.

posted 2 months ago

0/10

posted 2 months ago

In fact, I don't understand why they chose Jieni; they have a lot of youth training programs and also have relatively high-quality players.

posted 2 months ago

Because blg initially thought they wouldn't be able to enter Toronto, but in the end, they did.

posted 2 months ago

Tencent has not invested in the team, just like Riot Games has not invested either. However, Tencent is a large company, and the entity responsible for the events is Tencent Sports. In PUBG Mobile, Tencent Video is sponsoring Nova.

posted 2 months ago

I'm not very focused on investments in this area, but I think the answer might be titan wol ag and estarpro (the one that is a joint venture with nip).
And some teams with e-commerce capital like BLG, JDG, and also WBG.

posted 2 months ago

Perhaps in the past it was true, but not necessarily now, because in recent years Edward has invested in two projects in China that he should not have invested in: electric vehicles and real estate. Although it may not lead him to bankruptcy, it definitely has caused him a lot of suffering, and he is also investing in the construction of a venue in Shanghai.

posted 2 months ago

First, you need to try to understand this matter from a "Chinese perspective." Except for some clubs, many teams—such as DRG and Shenzhen—have a simple cooperative relationship. It’s similar to a sponsorship model where a city pays to have its name displayed on the team’s jerseys (I’m not sure if you follow Dota 2, but this is like the "Suzhou New District" logo on Team AR’s jerseys at TI12). Some local governments in China collaborate with esports clubs for purposes like attracting investment or promoting tourism. For example, in the League of Legends scene, there’s WE with the Xi’an government and LNG with the Suzhou government. In such cases, the government typically builds a local esports venue to attract tournaments and boost tourism. Additionally, some older clubs established early influence in China, leading governments to partner with them for economic and tourism development. The most iconic example of this is the collaboration between Chengdu and AG.
So, in short, the Chinese government generally does not intervene too much with clubs; they are more like a capital entity.

posted 2 months ago

This answer is likely titan, because its capital is Sports Weekly. Sports Weekly is one of the larger traditional sports newspapers in China, and behind Sports Weekly are the Changsha Sports Committee and the Changsha City Government.

In fact, neither Kangkang nor the Chinese audience hated Saddhack very much, especially after EDG won the championship, Saddhack has a lot of fans in China because he really looks really funny

posted 2 months ago

It is written in the rules of the event that the team going to the World Championship can not be the main team, and is allowed to go to the second team to train the youth players, but what is more embarrassing is that China has a strict ban on 18 years old, and players under the age of 18 cannot appear in the live broadcast and games, so these teams will be more inclined to pull a few people or have players close to adulthood, such as the coach and manager on EVO1 EDG and the manager of a CF, and TE is a full second team player

posted 2 months ago

EVO was held precisely in 23 years when there was no league in China, in order to bridge this gap and select VCT teams, at the end of 24 years China held FGC and Radiant Asia Invitational, and this year it was indeed re-held

posted 2 months ago

Last year, many Chinese viewers complained that there were few games, so this year, in order to solve the problem of fewer games, VCTCN held Evo

China does not recognize dual citizenship

posted 2 months ago

You know, the Chinese team has never officially announced their departure, even if they have long since left. At least what I know is that JEXEN should be the only one in BLG 23, and it is also possible that I also have a problem with my memory, and he was also on the coaching staff at that time and BLG did not officially announce it

posted 2 months ago

Paris used to work at BLG, and BLG had a team before Kone's people came, and after Kone's people came, the original BLG people didn't work except for WHZ and Rin and Kai Accident, in fact, Paris started in the Valorant project in 2020, but there has been no achievement

posted 2 months ago

kone gave up the Valorant project and invested in the PUBG mobile game wholeheartedly, and Kone's players didn't talk much about voting before, but it is certain that their relationship is still very good, as for blg, after the arrival of kone's management, the original players and divisions of BLG were dismissed, leaving some players such as kai, and it can be said that the current blg is the management of the previous kone

posted 2 months ago

I don't know how much you know about the Chinese team before VCTCN was formed
To put it more simply, there used to be a very powerful team called kone in China, with Yosemite, sword9, knight, ninebody and luoking as members. Since their boss has been in arrears of wages and bonuses (you must know that the prize money in the Chinese competition is not very large, only about a few thousand RMB), so in the end the boss chose to disband the team. The original rumor was that BLG would pack all these players, including the management and coach Jexen, and tyloo was also interested in packing these people, but blg would have whzy, One of them will become a substitute, so at that time, the team discussed and voted on it, Yosemite and knight and coaches and management went to blg, tyloo chose ninebody and luoking, and sword9 chose to go to edg as an assistant coach.BLG dismissed all but whzy and rin and kai who was reduced to a substitute

In fact, he is not the coach of 2023 BLG champs
this is a long, long and complicated story
