It's not my area of expertise but I believe the PC will still be undergoing other intensive tasks. Also, I guess there is a desire to future proof? Dedicated graphics just make it more flexible, especially when money isn't super tight.

Looking to build a PC for a family member but I'm debating between graphics cards. Specifically, between the RX 7800 XT and the RTX 5060 Ti (16GB). In USD, the latter is about $80 cheaper where I am. For more context, I'm intending on pairing with a Ryzen 7 7700X and the PC's primary intention actually isn't gaming. I also have, albeit not infinite, leeway on my spending. I'm looking to spend around $1500 USD on the total build.

Which GPU should I choose? Or should I look for something other than these two? Or maybe I should go for a different CPU even? Suggestions are welcome, although I already know someone's going to say that I shouldn't be building a PC in 2025...
