I think most of the hype is bc this is BR Superteam, and they didn't lost yet (16W-0L since Pancada e Amigos).
The strats and good leadership from saadhak IGLing combining with their insane aim is what people likes the most.

And they beat EMEA seed 1 and 3, when people expected them to lose, so this counts too.

Well, tecnically yes, except for the fact that Kay-o, Sova, Skye and Cypher himself can have simillar results with their skills.
And I personally think that Skye's ult is better than Cypher.

Cypher Ult will tag the exact location of 4 or less enemies for 1 sec, or something close to this, and you need to be near a corpse.
Skye ult will hunt UNTIL FIND 3 or less enemies, at any distance, and they will need to shoot them so you have a gun sound from where they are. If they don't broke it, they will be blinded for some time.

It might be overpowered (bc i just think about this), but if Cypher ult give the enemies spotted that thing that his camera shoots, and you need to press F to remove it, it will way better and more competitive with the other sentinels

I understand your point on Cypher, but we are talking about the WORST ult on the game. An Ultimate needs a huge advantage for the agent or the team in general.

For the other sentinels we have:
Sage - Ressurrect and give 100HP to a player.
Killjoy - Control on a masive area, with few or none way to contest.
Chamber - A gun that instakill even behind thin walls (better than Operator) with 4x scope and the mobility of a Marshal.

When you put cypher in comparison with this other sentinels you see how trash his ult reallly is.

I think cypher seems pretty decent on high-level. They use him to counter Jett in certain maps (which is one of the best agents). Maybe a buff on his ult?
And Phoenix is dead, they need to give him a rework.
