WGS stood no chance in Korea. It wasn't until more recent roster changes such as Godlike coming in December and dramatic improvement from the rest of the squad (and in my eyes Sylvan being the most) who basically revived the team into a new, much more competitive one

in the group stage, they had an overall negative round win deferential on Bind

I haven't followed the Japanese region much so I can't say much about Korean players competing in Japan, but the few times I've seen him Foxy9 has looked impressive as well. Sylvan would be my choice, but there's definitely more than 1 correct answer.

posted about 2 years ago

poggers did you see his 4k clutch just rn on the main Valorant twitch stream? I don't know what you're smoking but he's been improving so much if you've been following the scene

posted about 2 years ago

In their defense, this is one of their worse maps (they got thrashed on Bind in international games), but still they seem not as on point as before, or it's other teams getting closer in skill.

Yep same for Sylvan. He played for aNg DarkHorse, ZF Gaming, and then AUTOCRACY, which in all due respect, were not exactly the most competitive teams. He joined WGS about halfway through last year without much success, only recently in this current competition being able to really shine along with his team which is steadily improving.

neither is anyone else if you want to be that specific, everyone you mentioned on that list "existed" and was playing the game before too you know, just that their rise to prominence has been more recent

KR = for me this smokes chap named Sylvan has been looking extremely sold - WGS

Can you guys somehow add a feature where you can see your total all time +/- frag ratio?

For example:

trembolonaRage: -782 frags
Noyn: +425 frags

edit: changed the number of negative frags trembolonaRage has for a more realistic and accurate representation (courtesy of info from #16)

bruh go to sleep (unless you're another one of those fake flaggers which most likely you are)

posted about 2 years ago

disagree, if you want to get more specific and take into account how many maps each team won then going off round deferential is an even more precise way to judge

kk thx

posted about 2 years ago

true, but I feel that round deferential and the fact OS 2-0'd DRX should be bigger determining factors

posted about 2 years ago

ik but both the English and Korean commentators were shouting excitedly how DRX would move up to first seed when WGS beat OS

posted about 2 years ago

This is the first live audience for a Riot sanctioned Valorant event right? There have been live audiences for pro Valorant games before but those have all been 3rd party tournaments?

Why are On Slayers 2nd seed and DRX 1st seed going into playoffs despite On Slayers having a better round win differential? Moreover, OS beat DRX 2-0 so if different determining aspects were tied, wouldn't the team who won when the two teams faced off be have the upper hand?
