I said this above in another reply, they had the chance to do that, but they got a rookie duelist and rookie igl and took a massive bet. They have played well enough for anyone to consider it stupid to replace them now, and they do need more time before some drastic decision is made but nonetheless its an experiment.
If they got an IGL in the likes of Ethan or Valyn, and a promising duelist (timo or anyone else), then the results would be different. But they didnt, and replacing people will not change anything any time soon, until a game level shift happens in the way they play and think about the game.
sorta comes back to my first point right, until your current players change the way they play the game and get to that game defining and anchoring level, there is still going to be a lot of pressure and force on cryo to do things no matter the role
But thats how most teams play? each team has their own variation of success with it. You need people that can actually fill Cryo's shoes for the team to not play around him. Timotino has a long way to go before becoming that

yeah, great point, when they had the chance to do that, they did not do that. SO NOW, lets talk about the present and future. There is no driver or goated players on the market, most are tier 2 experiments which 100T cant make anytime soon, and the success of those experiments are low. Getting boostio back will not change, because again you need legit, actual goated people on your team and you dont have that in the market. My whole opinion, is based on that fact

yeah your whole argument is ragebait. In your language, Boostio "drove" them to the win, while the players like Ethan, Demon1 and Jawg, followed on and performed like beasts. Change the horses, who on 100T can actually take the drive of boostio to a champs win? no one is capable of that, WHICH in turn made, boostio's KD performance a much bigger factor than it was. The reason 100T got so far as they did with him, was purely cause of his calling, drive and game, but you still needed cracked ass players who could actually follow that up with a win. How tf is that me questioning boostio's factor on EG
The reason boostio's performance wasnt a big factor on the champs roster was because he was surrounded by the likes of Ethan, Demon1, and Jawg. Are we forgetting that, 100T never had such players with that much of capability. Ethan was another, secondary driver of the team, and now he is a champs winning IGL. Jawg and Demon1 are always brought up in the goat conversations. if you dont have the players, just drive of your IGL will not make you win the world.
And I dont think its improvement. Ive clearly said they need to fundamentally change the way they approach this game, not the players, thats not improvement
Thats actually a very good point that I didnt think of. But with so many coaching, player and management changes, it feels really improbable that it just stays the same just cause of that.
Drive doesnt mean wins, and we saw that. You need firepower. Which is why I keep bringing up people like JohnQT, Ethan and Valyn, who have the firepower, the drive and the experience knowing what things need to be implemented.
it could have been possible with a leader like Valyn, Ethan or JohnQt coming in place of Boostio and not a rookie igl like Vora. But I dont blame, vora or the 100T staff for that.
Practice hella more. The shift to passive roles is similar to how FNC put alfa on those roles as well, Cryo needs to start changing his gameplay like that too. Itll take time, but the guy is a beast, and I think it will happen soon enough, under the right conditions
clearly you haven't watched the games. Even if you replace Asuna with a guy who is 100x of him, 100T will not become champions or even remotely come close to beating teams like FNC and MIBR

I personally think 100T need to do a EU/APAC bootcamp, like the MIBR one from champs 2025. MIBR were champs material, and that bootcamp was a genuine change. It made players like artzin, and cortezia.
After watching 100T for over 6 years, since first strike, Ive had two major conclusions.
1) At no iteration of the 100T roster, was there ever a "game anchor". The way I define a game anchor is the players who are able to change the tied of the games single handedly, and consistently. Yes, if pointed out, Cryo 100% is a game anchor, but in my opinion, consistency is also a key requirement. Cryo has the potential, but at the current moment, he is not as consistent. A few years ago, he was also consistent, but the impact was not significant in the bigger picture. By bigger picture I mean, in the entire tournament or bracket.
The reason, the hiko-nitro-steel iteration, or the stellar-derrek iteration, or the boostio-berlin iteration got as far as they did, in my opinion, was more of a team credit than an individual credit, which yes, thats how it should work too, but you still need players who can take control of a game by themselves when it matters most.
The likes of JohnQT, or Cortezia, or Oxy, or Sato, or Ethan, or Brawk, Mada, Skuba, even dgzin and so on. With most of these players, you as a fan, 100% have the confidence that they will bring the game back somehow or someway, and the main reason I am saying this whole point is that confidence. Never have I felt true confidence that the game will be back, it’s been a pleasant surprise or an expected loss. Another way to put it is a scare factor. Unlike other teams, 100T does not have or had scary players.
2) Again, with so many coach and player changes, the way 100Ts game progresses, has somehow not changed at all. Metas changed, and they have kept up with it, but this isnt about the agent pool, or strats, but about individual and team thought process.
Their approach is somehow been the exact same, as first strike w.r.t the game. This wouldn’t be bad, if 100T were a strong team (not talking about results), but that is not the case. They have their runs, they show potential, but each time it’s almost become easy to predict how they’ll fail in the tournament if they don’t succeed, because the way the play is so fundamentally similar, that you know some of these games will just go the way you think they will, no matter the odds.
A dominating game like the one on Breeze against NRG, or a horrible upset, where they lose to a weaker team, or just close misses, each game since 2021, I’ve somehow been able to predict how they will fail game to game, that is if they do end up failing, because even the failure path stays consistent. Idk how this happens, and I don’t think Asuna is the one to blame.
Anyways, I think they have a good team right now, but I think they also need to train Vora or anyone else to also be a massive anchor to the team, performance wise, strats wise, vibe wise, everything. One person is not expected to do it all, neither do I think you need dedicated people for each, but I think because they lack the game definers like JohnQT, or someone else, they need to play the team diff games the way Furia is playing. Furia also doesnt have game definers, that might be cause they are a young team so you cant make the decision, but nonetheless they are playing a fundamentally different game as a team which has lead them to where they are today, and I think 100T needs to do that too.
All of these opinions are my observations from watching them, but I am sharing cause I want to know what you guys think, and just to make it clear: I do not think replacing Asuna will fix the world.
Edit: Just saw that the ex 100T coach saw this post. Very logical of him to read only the first sentence of both points and say that the guy who wrote it is an idiot. 1) Yes, these are views as fans not as people integrable part of the team. 2) You said that my second point was wrong because when you joined "100T was a individual fights team, and then became a full retake team.", and what about it? my point was about the actual results that 100T gets for some games and the way they lose. By becoming a retake team you are not revolutionizing anything imo, the only thing you are doing is switching up strategies. Most teams do that for each season, they get aggressive sometimes, they play more passive and so on. Thats part of the meta, comps, and the coaches in place. My point was that even with all those changes, the results somehow was always predictable, the manner of losses was predictable, the upsets were predictable, the micros of in game decisions also remained the same, along with the bigger picture of the yearly performance. I personally believe its very shallow of you to point faults without reading the whole point.

v1c has played really really bad in both games against LEV and ENVY. Like this is not even close to what he actually does, and this is some bum ass gameplay

G2 really did what 100T tried, by pulling a weird comp on both maps and NRG could not counter it, because (as Bonkar confirmed) they prepared for something else. Cant believe this is happening in the big 2026 with a champs winning team

actually no, I personally fucking love trash talk. I mean boostio did the same if not more while bot fragging, its not about the player or their KDA, more about them. this might be cause of pati's blind support with kamo along with the rest of liquid, but idk I just felt happy for some reason

If I played a scrim against 100T, I could be up 12-0 or down 12-0, but I know for sure of one thing, Kess is either in lamps on bind, or elbow in corrode. There is no variation and adaptability. So I highly doubt it comes down to one individuals fault apart from Zikz. Like TenZ transitioned from duelist to smokes/initiator. In the end, he just played mainly omen, occasional flash initiator. Yes 100T did that with Asuna, but my guy played gekko on icebox not too long ago, now omen or neon?
He is not consistent, just like cryo, and unfortunately, the team over the years have always had him jump roles, he is the type of player to be good at one thing. You need to find that, and fix it once and for all. only then will you see the difference.
