me and my objectively correct opinion

posted about 2 years ago

I think people had that idea mostly at the beginning of the game when nobody could accurately say which ranked demons were actually good or not, so the only thing they could go off of was past game experience, and since Valorant, lets just say took some ideas from CS, most thought that skill would cross over much better than it actually has. Just look at 100T, they have 4 old CS boomers and a mostly Valorant original player in Asuna, though he had some T2 cs experience. When that roster was announced everyone thought they would roll the competition, but now they are disappointingly not rolling other teams and fighting for the best of the rest behind SEN and V1. It's probably because of the puggy playstyle that valorant has, you see a lot more w keying in this game than in cs, and the randomness and comeback potential that abilities have that some cs pros just can't adapt to. That's probably why some OW pros thrive in this game, bc they are used to constant movement, and the minute details like counterstrafing and peeking can be taught easily.

4 EMEA
3 NA
1 LATAM
2 BR
2 KR
2 JP
2 SEA

I would separate EMEA into EU CIS and Turkey

2 EU
1 CIS
1 Turkey

take a spot away from JP and SEA and give it to EU and NA

so overall it would be

4 NA
3 EU
2 KR
2 BR
1 JP
1 CIS
1 TR
1 LATAM
1 SEA

everyone already knows the ranked system is shit, prolly bc you didn't drop enough kills

I like Asuna bc he's a weeb like me and also just has a really chill stream, he doesn't like to get into any drama and just vibes with chat playing valorant and talking about anime

summary:
-Shahzam massive brain, sick ass mid round calls
-Sentinels relies on simple but effective strats/mid round calls while the rest of the world follows strict and structured executes which really fucks with everyone else's strategy on defense
-SEN is just so insanely skilled that any counter thrown at them is just aim diff'd out of existence
-the players themselves make individual decisions they think will help the team rather than just follow the orders of the IGL, which allows a freer playstyle
-The addition of TenZ made this strategy even more viable because of his insane skill

crazy at the game, I guess he's just content with streaming, he gets more money with streaming than he would playing pro play with far less effort. It's a lot of time and effort he's just not willing to put in to even stay competitive in T1 esports, let along rise to the top.

First Strike, Masters 1 and Masters 2 were all Majors, granted First Strike and Masters 1 were regional, but that doesn't change the fact they were the highest level tournaments up to that point.

If TSM and 100T make it to masters 3 and champions the fanboys will come in full force

EU still a really good region lmao just bc they lost to the NA teams once doesn't mean they are asscheeks

Maybe it’s just issues with the organizers and the servers, but it doesn’t really make sense because MSI for League ran without many major hiccups as far as I know. Hopefully they fix it before day 3.

Gridshot is really bad for actually training your aim for valorant, I mostly just use it to warm myself up because I don't want to play deathmatch

true LMFAOOO wanna see what will happen if SEN loses early in the tourney

I was honestly expecting more 100T

Also most teams don't want to deal with a language barrier. Lots of teams, in my limited esports experience in CSGO and Valorant, would prefer to have a team that speaks one language for all of them at a high level to make communication easier and effective.

I never said it was bad to copy someone's sense, it's just better if you naturally find it yourself and find what's comfortable for you. You adapt the sens to fit your own comfort zone instead of try and adapt yourself and what you feel comfortable with to someone else's sens, no matter how good the player is.

posted about 3 years ago

I don't really think copying someone's sens is a good idea tbh, find one on your own. You may use a pro's sensitivity as a benchmark for going too high or too low, but don't just copy paste, in my experience that never works

Are you saying CIS and BR are tied? I think my ranking would be for CS

1-CIS
2-EU
3-BR/NA
4-LATAM
5-CHINA

CIS has Gambit, NaVi, and Virtus.Pro which are all top 5 teams, and arguably the top 3 right now. EU is going to have its good teams like it usually does with Heroic, G2, possibly Astralis with how they do without Device, and possibly NIP considering how they do with Device. NA and BR imo are tied for me, because outside of Furia/Team Liquid, what else is offered? MIBR? Evil Geniuses? Extra Salt? Furia is better than Liquid imo, but the greater field outside of the top teams is favoring NA for me which is why they're tied. And I don't really know about LATAM or China, and I'm assuming you aren't including FPX in China. The only LATAM team I know is 9z and that's because they beat Vitality, which I guess means they haave the talent to compete against Europe's best? Anyway yeah that's my ranking.

stop with the region rankings until after Iceland

I think that would just make the queues long as shit, I think everyone knows nobody wants to play sentinels and everyone wants to play duelists

TenZ one of the biggest onliners in Valorant, gonna get exposed in Iceland

Tenz going to show his choker genes once again when he comes to LAN

posted about 3 years ago

hoping they do, but I seriously doubt that they are going to go far. Max I can see is something like round of 16 in a VCT open qualifier if they get lucky with the bracket

posted about 3 years ago

SEN definitely has the skill to match up with all the other teams in the world, now all it comes down to is strategy and execution, and personally I think they can match up with the best in the world

posted about 3 years ago

love that Asuna in there is shown with Phoenix and he plays him on like 1 map only lol

posted about 3 years ago

I think Liquid is the best team in the world atm based on what I saw at the Challengers Finals, lets see if I'm proven wrong in Iceland tho

there is no confirmed locations at the moment, but I'm willing to bet its going to be held the same place place World's of League of Legends will be if the times coincide with each other, which is Shenzhen, China. If not I'm hoping LA

NA doesn’t overpeek, they just play a very free flowing playstyle

posted about 3 years ago

Do you all think that once international LANs start and other teams start to play against each other there will start to be a homogenous meta that all teams will follow, or will it stay the way it is now with each region having very different playstyles.
