why do they keep trying to get the Brazilians mad
Team Secret and Crazy Racoons
Maybe it's bc of the hype of it being the first international LAN and we had absolutely no idea how anybody would perform at LAN on the big stage
I always enjoy reading these articles, nice job
its bc the up and comer circuits are ESEA anyway, and all the actually good FPL players are in Europe
they are def making it out of groups, I do not trust FNATIC to be good at all, and they could make some noise in playoffs but I will be shocked if they even make it to grand finals, let alone win it
S1mple and Zywo0 are both better than Device
My predictions are LA, Shanghai, and then some EU country again
that's why I said mostly in EU, I know in some regions cs was already dying, and cs never really gained popularity in Asia in the first place, so imo that's not really much of a surprise
cs is far from dead, the game is still alive and well, especially in EU. Now overwatch is a different story
officially a major is that but Kato, Cologne, and World Final are all kind of on the level of a major bc of the competition level
comp is a hell hole, spike rush is very chill
They got a pretty sizable crowd for PGL Major Stockholm, as long as nothing completely terrible happens in a month then I don't see why no crowd
I'd say the only majors are the stuff like IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, the Valve-sponsored tourneys and the Blast World Finals, the rest are basically qualifiers to get to the big events
Furia is actually a Brazilian team that qualified with the NA slots
All the NA teams are ass atm, the last time an NA team was actually competitive at a consistent level was Team Liquid in like 2019, the rest of the big teams either dropped their CS roster bc of the pandemic and overall lower competition levels in NA compared to EMEA and CIS or are in a rebuilding period
I know that a shit ton of low elo players are like 12-13 year olds, and for some reason they always are the shittiest players that talk the most shit
GMB
TL
ACE
C9
Rise
XSET
SMB
FNC
Tenstar
V1
it's all pregame to build up the hype and build the storylines, it won't actually effect the time the games start
EZ for NaVi 2-0 cry about it, S1mple the goat, number 1 in his name, number 1 in the game
In a 1v1, I'm taking Skye or Jett
Rise is hella impressive, considering that at the beginning of the year they weren't even in the conversation for LCQ, to be runner up in NA LCQ is insane.
TSM will make a huge revamp with Wardell in the center of it again, 100T will try something funky again, I'd say very confidently that b0i is gone and possibly one of the other old heads, Rise will try and get some big free agent, I'd say that most likely Shanks is on the chopping block, depending on how C9B do in champs I can maybe see some change but probably not, basically I'd say that everyone from LCQ will try to make some major free agent signing
The b0i change was not a good idea, dropping your igl before a major tournament will never be a good idea no matter how skilled the rest of your team is. The b0i 100T I would say are on the same level as C9B, but the steel 100T is I'd say clearly better than C9B and is a top team in the world
I think it’s just a huge coincidence, plus the teams like G2 and Liquid and kind of 100T that had success in league are some of the biggest esports orgs in the world, it’s almost impossible for them to fail considering the amount of money they put in
That headhunter one looks really balanced, it looks perfect for some pistol demon to go and get some kills on a save round but isn’t so busted that it could win a round by itself
you are braindead if you've never heard of recency bias before
I remember people were saying FaZe was going to go deep in LCQ and they got knocked out in last lol, they're hella overrated
why do people act like money shields people from criticism
LCK diff I guess, those damn Koreans and Chinese are just crazy at MOBAs
S1mple will never win a major, I have the script he’s going to get reverse swept by Movistar Riders in Grands

ez + ratio
isn't cricket mostly only popular in the former British Empire? I know it's hella popular over there in places like India, South Africa and the British Isles, but I don't really know about anywhere else
basketball is the 2nd most popular sport in the world, and considering the accolades that MJ got in the NBA it can be argued that he is one of the GOATs of all sports
the NBA, NFL, NHL, and kind of the MLB have all survived in a franchised league system, and 2 of these have become the world premier sports league in their particular sport, the NBA and MLB. The problem with football in the US is the oversaturation of the market, the NBA, NFL and MLB already dominate the entire sports calendar, there is no room for professional football in the American sports world. Also, the huge sports that all kids idolize in America are American Football and Basketball, which require drastically different skillsets than football. Football is kinda seen as this weird European sport that nobody other than Mexicans play.
there are an insane amount of basketball for basketball especially in the United States, just in my small town there are like 10-15 youth teams and about 5 adult amateur leagues, and especially with the growth of Basketball around the world I wouldn't doubt that basketball has more players, considering how huge the US market is for sports the fact that football hasn't really caught on is a huge detriment for football
technically in terms of total players, more people play basketball than football, but more people watched the UEFA Champions League Final than the NBA finals
there's way too many people in that conversation, I'd say people like Michael Jordan and Lewis Hamilton are up there too
DWG will lose to T1, EDG will lose to C9, C9 wins NAs first ever Worlds
power rankings are rankings of their most recent success, over all of the VCT circuit for 2021 obviously Sentinels is the best NA team, but NV's rankings at Challenger's Finals and then Berlin and its win over SEN and 100T imo cements them as NA #1 especially with how little time they've had with Yay
how did you calculate the elo rating?
there was no point in changing the old NUTURN logo it was so clean
EU won Berlin tf you mean they shouldn't be there
very scary set of teams, I can def see an EMEA vs. EMEA finals if the playoff seeding gets fucked like at Berline
Let's hope that Brazil doesn't get knocked out in last this time
Right now it looks like t hat but imo the huge improvements made by the Japanese teams between Reykjavik and Berlin was crazy, idk if they're staying at the bottom for long
