Serious Question how important is stage 2 for them, they are tied for first in point with 9 so they should only need a few more wins.
But I saw that the top 3 form playoffs qualify and the 4th team is determined by points. So if they get like 2 more wins they should be good no?

Looking back the thing that made them so good was the consistency that they had and their resilience. They had some bad losses to teams like Rise and Xerxia, and would get farmed by EMEA but would always bounce back. Granted I think they are pretty overrated but its mostly hindsight. You can say they were carried by chamber meta and while that may be true this team just had things work for them.
NRG just does not have what they did and its obvious. You can just say the players fell off or FNS was the true carry or just blame Chet, but its clearly much more than that. Whatever moves they are trying to make with the loud players or with marved will probably just make them worse but we shall see.
Even if the they somehow get the full optic reunion how good can they truly be with the current state of the game?

That makes some sense but shanghai should give points to teams other than first place since they all qualified to it. Maybe the prize pool will be 1 mil just like tokyo, but this whole new point system does not feel like its been fully thought out. Either way there should still be some good matches.
True, but last year was unique as there was no split 2 so regional split mattered a lot, this year it seems like split 2 is everything since lcq got thrown out the window. But you are right with shanghai meaning something in the sense that its still a major, but in terms of points only first place getting them just does not seem right, especially compared to 2021 and 2022 and the way those masters gave points.
How does the point system work, because kickoff gave no points for any place below 1st, same thing for Madrid. Will Shanghai be the same? 1st place gets 3 points while everyone else gets nothing. If so then what even is the point of this tournament? This just means literally everything is on split 2.
I do agree they probably aren't the greatest they have definitely improved and can probably take a map and/or beat some of the other teams if everything goes well. This split has shown that almost all the teams are pretty even more or less.

This team is so infuriating, they show so much excellence and then innovate new ways to throw/choke, actually incredible.
Most of those teams will probably make champs so all good for now probably, still kind of sucks for kru and drx though.

Cloud9 has to have put some sort of dark magic spell on yay, cause ever since he got cut its just been over for him. He has not been shooting well, the util usage isn't there, the positioning is off a lot. Everything that went wrong with started after he got dropped from C9.
Also slightly unrelated but why is everyone doubting C9, they are 5-1 and beat LEV(albeit that game was very shaky from both teams), is it just because they got clapped by 100T and lost to fur on ascent 2-13?
