People need something to get upset about

It might also be worth noting that it functions in a very similar way as "you."

Both can refer to either a singular or a plural subject, but it depends on the context of the sentence.

I understand, my family comes from Norway, so I learned Norwegian alongside English growing up and the idea of gender and pronouns is so different between the two languages.

I have my own issues with the whole pronoun discourse that happens online all the time, but the whole They/Them being exclusively plural issue particularly annoys me since it's just not how English works.

posted about a year ago

I'm being pedantic, but it's probably not a good idea to use "it".

There's massively bad connotations when you use "it" to describe an animate object. Just use they/them.

posted about a year ago

They/them has been used as a singular and plural pronoun for a long long time

It's used when you don't know the gender of the person you're referring to, or in the case, they don't identify with a gender.

For example

"Do you know Alex" (Alex is a name for both men and women)
"No, I haven't heard of them"

Yep

If you want a recommendation for a smaller artist similar, 百景 is pretty good. Last album was in 2009 tho

you have 2 koreans and a russian on this team, not much of a CN super team.

Good song. Have you ever listened to toe or elephant gym? I think you would like them.

Too many Korean teams. Get rid of DPLUS and add FPX

I would rather the game I enjoy not just become a one-region game where every meaningful match is between two teams from the same region with the occasional BR team in the mix :)

Brings more fans, and more interesting story lines to follow. + it makes it that much more satisfying when one of those teams does end up making the next masters or champs.

Recording someone without their consent is illegal in CA. Assuming it happened there, it wouldn't have been admissible in a criminal case.

I'm not a genius at this game or anything, so I'm probably wrong here, but I don't understand the point of Astra/Omen instead of Astra/Viper.

It's not like Tomaszy doesn't play Viper and the pit and mollies would be good for postplant, or would let them have a character that can split the map more easily.

He's just a potential point of improvement. If they keep winning then don't change anything, but if they get to the point where they need to improve here's probably the first port of call. His support util is also pretty good, people just overly critical on him for some bad maps.

How do people watch on this site? There's just text flying across the screen wtf

GenG already basically did after the whole incident

It's worth noting that I believe it revolved around GenG's LCK team saying they were participating in a Taiwanese Meet and Greet. China didn't like it because it referred to Taiwan as an «oversees country» and not China. GenG immediately apologized and basically echoed a «one china» statement. This got Korean fans pissed with them, and China still apparently is pissed.

It's a good business decision to make everyone you release overpowered. Brings a general sense of hype and might bring back players who think they can abuse an op agent. Then they just nerf the agent around the same time the people that come back would leave anyway.

posted about a year ago

Loud vs GenG was fun. TH and SEN as well.

posted about a year ago

If theyre trying to find a replacement I think it's too soon to make a change. Wish teams would stop reacting so hard to these tournaments with shit formats. Like sure, you might be worse than LOUD and SEN rn, but those games were close. Let the team grow and get more comfortable playing and communicating with.

The competition among the Top 4-5 teams in America's is so close rn, just wait until after Shanghai before you make these moves.

Was YHchen the IGL on ASE? couldnt find much info on it. If so could be a good change.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

If they start running into issues then they can get someone like Rb, but right now they just beat one of the historically best teams in the world on two of their best maps.

I was originally going to be there, but i decided to use my time off to go skiing instead. Don't regret it.

Even if he's not at faker level, f0rsaken is still my goat. The guy can play any agent or role at a top level and has been one of the only pros consistently good since 2021. If he wins a trophy he'll definitely be in goat cotention.

By asking someone to not use a Valorant esports forum as a politics advocacy forum, I'm making everything about myself. Gotcha.

Read the one rule that is highlighted at the top of every screen, don't assume that it doesn't apply to you.

I mean, except for Champs 2022 and Reykjavik 2022, but I get the point.

I think Saadhak if Loud win. His performance in the server has been good and he's proven yet again that he's able to innovate metas and comps on stale maps.

If it's SEN, it should be JohnQT IMO. He's been calling amazingly and fragging great.

I will never understand the fascination these people have with these online political figures. Bro signed up for a valorant esports forum so that he could preach politics. I don't necessarily disagree with what you're saying, but keep politics and shit to yourself, you don't need to convert every single piece of online media you use into a soapbox for your ideals. Talk about this in Hasan's Discord or something.

A high schooler going for a 7th grader could still be weird, but since the ages are 16 v 14, that's more like a 1st year and a 3rd year in highschool. Not weird by itself, but it's worth noting that just because the ages are like that doesn't mean there wasn't any grooming.

Regardless of which teams go, the fact that it's 8 teams immediately disqualifies it from being the best ever.

Derke is a good duelist but has been overrated at nearly every single event he's ever been at. You can go through each tournament, he normally starts strong with a good performance and then loses going negative. The only times he's looked good throughout an event is when he had the best supporting cast in the world. He consistently fails to outperform any new talent that comes up and relies on Leo or Alfajer to bail him out in tough games.

However, I don't think his performing poorly was why Fnatic lost to KC. It was mainly due to their lack of innovation over the off-season, running the same meta comps and strats from last season while other teams experimented. This has been a consistent problem throughout the history of Fnatic and the leadership, ahem boaster ahem, needs to be questioned for why that is.

6 months off-season. Prep doesn't matter nearly as much over that long of a time span.

It was back when Leo joined. Sayf wanted to join as well but FNC kept Derke.

posted about a year ago

FNC had the opportunity to get Sayf and still chose to keep Derke. Just imagine.

doesn't hurt that they're also the best team in the world

Looks like I might not know ball

I heard Mitch say in the FNC-Vit game that Sayf wanted to join FNC with Leo but FNC wanted to keep Derke. Imagine that roster.

w0ot is extremely good in terms of raw talent, but he is young and new to the scene. pattitek is underrated as well tho. He's been a solid T2 player for a while and has looked good in this flex role on TH.

Bold of you to assume that anyone that posts on here is above plat

FNC probably has the most fans outside of EMEA. They're huge in Japan and pretty popular in the US, doesn't hurt that they're also the best team in the world. Inside Europe probably KC.
