NRG is one of those teams where they showed so much promise during kick-off and then it was complete downhill after that single elim match
Tacolilla wasn’t that bad, but he looked rly bad cause people always compared him to aspas.
The crazy thing was that lev in 2022 had Keznit signed as a 6th. Onur chose to have him remain on the bench thinking that tacolilla’s play style fit the “perfection” style lev was chasing at the time.
In retrospect that decision was fucking shit

2022 had amazing games and storylines but ultimately flawed by slow and boring comps. The only team to somewhat reject the meta was Loud
2022 would’ve been nr2/1if it wasn’t for the incredibly boring chamber meta. Only loud could save us from it
2023
hypest events by far. Lock-in and champs was bliss. Fnatic rarely going under 6 rounds lost per map for a whole year was awesome too
2021
Despite the lack of quality gameplay from apac, vision strikers still reinvented the game which eu and na teams quickly stole. Gambit was unreal, and even old sen was hype to watch even though they fell off rather quickly.
2022
Great year for sheer rivalry, problem was only 4 teams rose to any sort of top level: optic, loud, fpx and drx. Optic vs loud rivalry will go unchallenged though y0y

Now that recency bias is over I think it’s fair to say that this year was screwed by the format. Champ points proved to be a complete joke, and kick-off was beyond Mickey Mouse. Champs was hype but lack of GENG killed a lot of the storylines ngl
